Farmers Market
Seattle, Washington
Phinney Farmers Market is part of Neighborhood Farmers Markets, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a stated mission to support local agriculture and local food access. In Seattle’s Phinney neighborhood, that mission lands in a weekly market at N 67th Street and Phinney Ave N, using the Phinney Neighborhood Association site as its home base. The market’s season stretches from June into December, with summer Friday hours and a December Saturday date tied to its fall and holiday schedule. That combination gives this market a practical shape: neighborhood-scale shopping backed by a larger organization that runs seven markets for local farmers and food producers only.
Neighborhood Farmers Markets says its mission is to support local agriculture and local food access, and Phinney Farmers Market operates inside that same system. Across the organization’s seven markets, the vendor policy is local farmers and food only, with no crafts, which keeps the emphasis on farm and food businesses rather than a mixed street fair format. The organization also notes that its seven markets include well over 100 local farms and roughly 70 artisan food vendors across the network.
Local access is built into the market’s programs as well. The organization accepts EBT/SNAP, Fresh Bucks, and WIC + Senior FMNP through participating farmers, and it runs Market Match and SNAP Market Match programming tied to food access. For Phinney shoppers, that means the market is connected to a larger local-agriculture and food-access structure, not just a standalone weekly stop.
The clearest through-line here is food: Neighborhood Farmers Markets runs its markets for local farmers and food vendors only, without crafts, and the Phinney market sits within that same vendor mix. Rather than a broad handmade market, expect a food-focused lineup shaped by the organization’s network of farm and artisan food sellers.
The biggest logistical detail is parking: on summer Fridays, the market takes over the upper parking lot of the Phinney Neighborhood Association, so driver parking shifts to the lower lot of the PNA and to street spaces nearby. If you’re arriving by bike, racks are available near the stairs to the PNA, and riders are asked not to ride through the market. Dogs are welcome.
The setting is specific to the PNA campus at N 67th Street and Phinney Ave N, which helps when you’re navigating the block for the first time. Restrooms are not available as a visitor amenity here. Questions on site are routed through the Market Manager booth or Manager’s Tent, both identified as market landmarks.
Phinney Farmers Market accepts SNAP/EBT. It is also connected to Market Match and SNAP Market Match programming, and the broader market organization accepts Fresh Bucks plus WIC + Senior FMNP with participating farmers. Payment methods are presented clearly for visitors, which makes this one of the more plan-ahead-friendly parts of a first visit.
Free parking is available in the lower lot of the PNA and on the street. The market takes over the upper parking lot of the Phinney Neighborhood Association (PNA) on summer Fridays. Bike racks are available near the stairs to the PNA; riders are asked not to ride bikes through the market.
All markets are ADA accessible. Vendors accept cash, credit, and debit. All markets accept EBT/SNAP with an unlimited dollar-for-dollar match via the SNAP Market Match Program; SNAP users automatically receive the match. WIC + Senior FMNP are accepted by participating farmers. Fresh Bucks are accepted. Bike Benefits are available: show a sticker at the Market Manager booth to receive a $2 Farm Buck to spend in the market. The market partners with local food banks for “Buy Some Share Some,” where shoppers can drop off extra produce at the Manager’s Tent. Market safety is coordinated with Seattle/King County Public Health, the City of Seattle, and the Seattle Fire Department.

One of my favorite things to do during summer is to get all fresh veggies and fruits from this farmers market every week. Also get to know local farmers and their family. It's a good feeling to know the person who grows the food you eat.
It's cozy, features some amazing vendors, live music, and is nestled into a great neighborhood with plenty of dining options nearby. The PNA hosts the market in their parking lot, so there's always plenty of space for everyone. Highly recommend checking out Papa Tony's hot sauces when they're around!
Cute farmers market! Loved how there was easy to find parking and all the stalls were in one area. There weren't a lot of spots to hang out and sit, but the live music was a great touch.
One of my favorite Puget Sound farmers markets! A great variety of vendors including tons of vegetables and fruit, lots of delicious hot food, alcohol, artisan condiments and ready to cook foods. This market has an awesome vibe, and lots of happy faces.
Pros: *Very high quality produce can be found if you look carefully. *Farmers, vendors and sellers are exceptionally nice and knowledgeable. *Free parking. *Well mannered, relaxed shoppers seem happy with a "buy local endorphin" gaze . (Even the kids are well behaved! Fewer tantrums than normally heard at public events.) * You can choose to get in and out quickly or make an afternoon or early evening of it with snacks and listening to live volunteer musicians. Cons: * Nothing is cheap.
