Farmers Market
Seattle, Washington
Magnolia Farmers Market is part of a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support local agriculture and local food access, giving this Saturday market a clear purpose beyond a weekly shopping stop. In Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood, it runs at W McGraw Street and 33rd Ave W from June through December, placing a seasonal market directly into Magnolia Village’s commercial core. The larger market network behind it keeps its focus tight: local farmers and food only, with no crafts, across seven Seattle markets. That mission-and-food emphasis shapes what Magnolia is there to do each week.
The Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance runs Magnolia Farmers Market as one of seven markets that allow local farmers and food only, not crafts, and that structure matters for shoppers who want a direct local-food marketplace rather than a mixed street fair. Across those seven markets, the alliance works with well over 100 local farms and roughly 70 artisan food vendors, tying Magnolia into a broader Seattle system built around regional producers.
The organization also states a mission centered on local agriculture and local food access, and its partner list shows how that work connects to public health, city agencies, and statewide market organizations including Seattle/King County Public Health, the City of Seattle, and the Washington State Farmers Market Association. For Magnolia shoppers, that means this market sits inside an established local network rather than operating as a one-off seasonal event.
Magnolia is part of a market system that keeps its sales mix focused on farm and food vendors rather than crafts, so the emphasis here is on ingredients and prepared foods within that local-food frame. The market is also connected to the alliance-wide vendor directory, which is where shoppers can explore the businesses that sell across the organization’s markets.
There are no restrooms at Magnolia Farmers Market, which is the detail most likely to affect how long you plan to stay. The market sets up at W McGraw Street and 33rd Ave W in Magnolia Village, with ample free street parking nearby. If you need accessible parking, there are three designated ADA spaces: one on 32nd Ave at the corner north of McGraw, one on 32nd Ave at the corner south of McGraw, and one on 33rd Ave at the corner south of McGraw. Dogs are welcome. For on-site questions, the market identifies a Market Manager booth or manager’s tent as the place to sort out logistics and payment-related needs.
SNAP EBT is accepted at Magnolia Farmers Market. The broader market organization also notes that Market Match can be spent at any farmers market in Washington, and lists WIC, Senior FMNP, and Fresh Bucks among accepted food-access programs within its markets. For shoppers using benefits, the Market Manager tent is the practical first stop.
Ample free street parking is available nearby. There are 3 designated ADA parking spaces: one on 32nd Ave at the corner north of McGraw, one on 32nd Ave at the corner south of McGraw, and one on 33rd Ave at the corner south of McGraw.
All markets are ADA accessible. Vendors accept cash, credit, and debit. All markets accept EBT/SNAP with an unlimited dollar-for-dollar match via the SNAP Market Match Program; SNAP Market Match can be spent at any farmers market in Washington. WIC + Senior FMNP accepted by participating farmers. Fresh Bucks accepted. Bike parking available; do not ride your bike through the market during setup/breakdown. Market safety plans are formed with and approved by Seattle/King County Public Health, the City of Seattle, and the Seattle Fire Department. Buy Some Share Some: shoppers can drop off extra produce at the Manager’s Tent for local food banks.

Pastries and tea at Petite Pierre followed by a stroll through the farmers market to gather supplies for that evening's dinner is such a relaxing and fulfilling day. The Magnolia Farmers Market consistently has quality vendors who don't hesitate to bring along the "imperfect" produce as well to allow for those of us who don't judge a carrot to purchase at a discount. :-)
Love the market for the wide ranch of seasonal vegetables and fruits. Also love Zylberschtein's dense, squarish loaves of rye and sourdough, which remind me of bakery bread sold in Germany. Also love the truck that sells savory vegetarian pies and seasonal fruit pies. The latter are barely sweetened, which is to say, perfect! It is so unusual to find pies that are not overly sweet.
Great way of supporting local farmers and vendors. Always Saturday from 10am until around noon during the Summer season. Find flowers, bread, pastries, honey, vegetables, fruit, and many more items. Bring your dog and mingle with the neighbors
This is a great little village farmer's market. The scale is just right and the merchants are excellent. I can never leave without getting something (usually flowers, which are a bargain). Open Saturdays until 2pm, Spring though Autumn.
Nice selection of fruit, veggies, and other things like desserts, wine, flowers, and a couple of tasty hippie food trucks. It's pretty small, like maybe 30 or 40 vendors total.
