Farmers Market
South Boston, Massachusetts
SOUTH BOSTON FARMER'S MARKET pairs weekly produce shopping with the neighborhood-focused work of SBNDC, whose mission language centers community commitment and support. That framing gives the market a practical emphasis: food access, straightforward shopping, and a small vendor mix that covers staples instead of chasing novelty. At 446 West Broadway, the market runs on Mondays from June into November, giving South Boston a weekday option for farm produce, organic goods, and bakery items in one stop. With SNAP/EBT accepted and additional nutrition benefits welcomed, it is set up for routine grocery runs as much as occasional browsing.
The vendor mix is compact and useful, with produce doing most of the heavy lifting and one bakery stand broadening the shop beyond fruits and vegetables. Instead of a sprawling roster, this market leans on recognizable staples: Massachusetts-grown crops, organic farm goods, and a substantial pastry and bread selection for same-day meals or pantry restocking.
No dogs are allowed, a policy worth knowing before you head to West Broadway with a pet. The market sits adjacent to the municipal parking lot at 446 West Broadway, which makes parking one of the clearest arrival options provided for shoppers. Mondays are the shopping day, with hours running from late morning into the afternoon, so this market fits lunch-break pickups and early-evening grocery stops rather than a weekend outing. Restrooms are not available on-site, another detail that can shape a longer visit or a stop with children. The vendor list is short, so the market reads more like a focused neighborhood grocery stop than an all-day roam.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at the market, and shoppers using benefits can also use the Healthy Incentive Program there. WIC Fruit and Vegetable Checks and Senior Coupons are accepted as well, making this one of the market's clearest practical features for regular food shopping. Payment methods are presented clearly for shoppers planning how to buy.
Customers using the SNAP benefit program are welcomed and given a weekly incentive to use their benefits at the market through the Healthy Incentive Program. WIC Fruit and Vegetable Checks and Senior Coupons are also accepted. Market Loyalty Cards with six stamps earn a coupon. Area nonprofits are invited to table at the market.

I look forward to visiting every Monday. The vegetables taste better than from the supermarket. Very friendly staff as well. They take credit card too which is nice.
Nice people who run it. Went on a rainy day but they were still out there. Two booths had a pretty good selection. Would recommend checking it out if you're in the area on a Monday.
Great fresh veggies. Family farm. Fresh fruits. Check out the soap only a few weeks left in the season.
Love going to this market while visiting Boston.
