Farmers Market
Healdsburg, California
24
Since 1978, the Healdsburg Certified Farmers Market has centered its identity on supporting local farmers, sustainable agriculture, and fresh seasonal food. On the Wednesday market day, that mission comes through in a vendor mix that runs from sustainably grown produce and pasture-raised meats to prepared foods built around local ingredients. The result is a market where shoppers can piece together a full haul from raw ingredients, pantry staples, flowers, and ready-to-eat dishes without losing the strong farm focus that has defined this market for decades.
About two dozen local farms and food businesses shape the Wednesday lineup, with a strong emphasis on produce, proteins, baked goods, and prepared foods rather than a craft-heavy mix. Several vendors also point to specific Sonoma County or nearby growing regions, which gives the market a distinctly local footprint across the stalls.
The market also schedules performers during the season, with solo acts, duets or trios, and bands all part of the application structure for market music.
Free public parking sits across the street, but North Street is closed directly in front of the market, so drivers should enter the lot from Matheson Street or from the open portion of North Street. Additional parking is available on Grove Street and in the City Hall parking lot. Restrooms are available on site, which makes a midweek grocery stop easier if you're planning a longer browse or picking up lunch along with produce. Dogs are not allowed, an important detail if this market is part of a walking loop through downtown Healdsburg.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at the market, giving shoppers a way to use nutrition benefits on market purchases. The market also presents clear payment information for visitors, which helps when you're planning to split a trip between produce, meat, bakery stops, and prepared foods.

The market is rain or shine. Dogs are not allowed near any of the food or farm vendor’s booths (Sonoma Co Health Dept rule); they can be up on the platform, in the open area below it, or on the outside patio. There are four unisex restrooms. The Information Booth sells Market Bucks usable at every booth; the market participates in Market Match for EBT purchases (match up to $20 with vouchers for free fruits and veggies).
