Farmers Market
Portland, Oregon

TriMet is one of the named partners tied to Portland Farmers Market - King, a Sunday market at NE 7th and Wygant in the parking lot next to King Elementary School. Running from May to November, the market brings together a stated 30 vendors, with free on-street parking, bike parking, restrooms, and King Park & Playground nearby. The vendor roster reaches well past basic produce, spanning orchard fruit, mushrooms, seafood, meat, breads, coffee, prepared foods, and pantry goods. That mix gives this Northeast Portland stop the feel of a full grocery run rather than a quick produce pickup.
King is rooted in a specific Northeast Portland setting: the market operates at NE 7th and Wygant, in the parking lot adjacent to King Elementary School and near King Park & Playground. That location puts a farmers market directly into a neighborhood school-and-park corridor rather than a downtown civic space.
The market also connects local food access programs with everyday shopping. Portland Farmers Market lists SNAP, Double Up Food Bucks, Oregon Farm Direct Nutrition Program, and Produce Match among its partners and programs, alongside standard payment options including cash, credit/debit, and market tokens. With a 30-vendor claim and a wide farm-and-food roster, the market combines neighborhood convenience with a substantial range of farm goods and prepared foods on a weekly Sunday schedule.
The strongest pattern at King is range: orchard fruit and berries sit alongside mushrooms, seafood, cheese, breads, coffee, hot food, and pantry staples, so shoppers can build a market bag across several categories in one stop. The market’s stated 30-vendor scale reads smaller than its full roster depth, with plenty of variety inside each category.
The events calendar for this market includes Weekly Kids’ Activities, Music, an Earth Day Celebration, and a Harvest Market.
No dogs is the clearest rule to plan around here. The market runs in the parking lot adjacent to King Elementary School at NE 7th and Wygant, between NE Alberta and NE Prescott Streets, with free on-street parking and bike parking available. Restrooms are available on site, which matters for a longer Sunday stop, especially with King Park & Playground nearby. Because the market is scheduled only on Sundays from May through November, this is a once-a-week neighborhood stop rather than a daily retail setup.
SNAP is accepted at Portland Farmers Market - King. Portland Farmers Market also lists cash, credit/debit, market tokens, Double Up Food Bucks, and Oregon Farm Direct Nutrition Program across its markets, giving shoppers several ways to pay and use food access benefits. Produce Match is also listed among the market’s partner programs.
Free on-street and bike parking is available. The market is located in the parking lot adjacent to King Elementary School at NE 7th and Wygant between NE Alberta and NE Prescott Streets.
Portable bathroom near the King Park & Playground. Market Information Booth under the yellow canopy. Market accepts cash, credit/debit, market tokens, SNAP, Double Up Food Bucks, and Oregon Farm Direct Nutrition Program. Pets are requested to be kept away from market vendors and shopper walkways.

I appreciate the petite size and variety at this farmers market. The breakfast burritos are the best! Awesome baked goods too. Regularly buy berries, fresh flowers, produce (potatoes, carrots, greens, tomatoes, apples). Occasionally buy salmon, sauces, pickled goods. Picnic tables, playground, and open field make it welcoming for families. Live music also gives a good vibe.
Fun place lots of choices for fresh from the farm items. Meat and veggies as well fresh made cheese. Better prices then the big box stores for fresh certified organic food.
Small market but all the vendors are awesome. Be sure to get vegan lunch at Black Girl Veggies booth. The soul bowl is heavenly. The apples from Kiyokawa family orchard are irresistible.
I was staying near this farmer’s market for a while and it was such a great market. I would usually take my favorite dog ever with me :) and we would both have a great time. Best rose matcha latte and amazing food too! So many fresh veggies and fruits!
Smaller Famers Market than the Saturday market at PSU, but more of an intimate family feel. Had excellent live music the day I went, the singer had a beautiful voice. Along with the standard fruits and vegetables there were also a couple booths selling food - I got a delicious mushroom tamale from one vendor. There is a park very close by and there were lots of families with their children playing. Seems like a clean and safe area.
