Farmers Market
Cary, North Carolina
Western Wake Farmers' Market has connected western Wake County residents with local vendors and fresh, healthy food since 2009. That mission-driven focus shapes the market’s identity: it is a producer-only market founded to serve its community with food raised, made, and brought in by the people behind each business. In Cary, the market offers a year-round Saturday stop for shoppers who want to buy directly from growers, makers, and specialty food vendors rather than from resellers. The mix on a given week can shift, but the market’s own emphasis stays consistent—local vendors, regular Saturday hours, and a nonprofit-style purpose centered on nourishment and access to fresh food.
The vendor roster points to a market with a compact but varied specialty-food mix rather than a single-category lineup. Coffee, eggs, quail, and crafts all appear in the current vendor materials, giving Saturday shoppers a spread that can cover pantry items, breakfast staples, gifts, and prepared drinks in one stop.
The market also hosts educational programming in the Education Garden at WWFM at 101 Town Hall Drive. One listed event includes seed bomb giveaways with pollinators, composting conversation, QR codes for year-round gardening links, and supervised hands-on practice between 10 and 11 a.m., with participation open to all ages and children under 13 asked to attend with an adult. That kind of programming adds a practical learning layer to a shopping trip, especially for visitors interested in home gardening as well as market buying.
Parking logistics are the main planning detail here. The market location is Indian Creek Trailhead Park at 101 Town Hall Drive, and parking in the park lot is limited because some spaces may be needed for market use such as trailer vendors, a food truck, musicians, or the garden area. Auxiliary parking is available across the street at 100 Town Hall Drive, about a two-minute walk, and at 240 and 260 Town Hall Drive, about four minutes away on foot. Visitors are asked not to park at the fire station or block road or property access, and before or after market hours patrons are directed toward the auxiliary lots to reduce congestion. Restrooms are available, and dogs are not allowed.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Western Wake Farmers' Market, which matters for shoppers planning to use nutrition benefits as part of their weekly market trip. The market also indicates that payment methods are clearly communicated, giving buyers a better chance to plan purchases before they arrive.

I was surprised to find very fresh, clean, gourmet mushrooms at the WW farmer's market, better than the ones at any supermarket that I have ever shopped at. I selected the box with Shiitake and Oyster mushrooms which were perfect for a mushroom pot pie.
Mine and my daughter's favorite place to go on a Saturday morning. This "little" local Farmer's Market is not so little. There's always a great variety and all of the farmers and vendors are really wonderful. This market has always been located right across the street, but starting with the first weekend in December, 2016, it will be moving to 260 Town Hall Drive in Morrisville to make way for condos going in at it's current location.
Very grateful for this farmer's market. The farmers are great ppl who have much better tasting food than you will get in any grocery store. You can get everything you need here - fresh bread, wide variety of vegetables, good practice meat, fresh eggs, etc. Everything is made or grown with love. And sign up for the newsletter if you want a good laugh every week. Whoever writes it is very funny.
I randomly went on an off day, but there were still plenty of fresh veggies and homemade goods. All the vendors had a great story to share, it really blew my mind! Im visiting the state, but I will definitely be back!
Good looking local market with a variety of stalls from veg, herbs, meat fish and crafts. Best stall and my favorite is English Muffins who are based on Capital Blvd
