Friends of Morningside Park is a named partner for the Down to Earth Morningside Park Farmers Market, tying this Saturday market directly to the park it serves. The market meets at 110th Street and Manhattan Avenue beside Morningside Park, giving it a clear Upper Manhattan anchor rather than a detached plaza setting. Down to Earth also identifies the site as Morningside Park Market, reinforcing the link between the market and the park edge at 110th Street. With a year-round Saturday schedule from 9:00AM to 2:00PM, it offers a steady weekly stop in Manhattan instead of a short seasonal run.
Morningside Park is built into this market’s identity, from the market name itself to the partnership with Friends of Morningside Park. That matters in a neighborhood setting where the market is not just placed near the park, but presented alongside the organization connected to that specific public space. The corner at 110th St & Manhattan Ave gives the market a fixed, recognizable location at the park boundary, which helps make weekly shopping part of the area’s regular Saturday pattern. Down to Earth’s vendor standards add another local dimension: primary products sold at its farmers markets must be raised or made by the vendors themselves, with resale allowed only in limited, pre-approved cases.
There are no restrooms listed for this market, so that is the detail most likely to affect how long you plan to stay. The market runs at 110th Street and Manhattan Avenue by Morningside Park, a specific corner that is easier to aim for than a mid-block setup. Dogs are welcome, which may matter if a park visit is part of the same outing. The schedule is simple: Saturdays only, from 9:00AM to 2:00PM, year-round, so this is a once-a-week shopping window rather than a multi-day market. Payment methods are marked clear, which suggests shoppers can expect posted or established payment options on site. Down to Earth also invites non-vendor participation through a market activity inquiry form for information tables, fundraisers, and other non-commercial activity, showing that the market can host more than straightforward selling when approved.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at the Down to Earth Morningside Park Farmers Market, an important detail for shoppers planning regular grocery trips here. Payment methods are also marked clear in the market’s visit details, indicating that payment options are established rather than left unspecified. Together with the year-round Saturday schedule, that makes the market easier to use as a recurring food-shopping stop.
Dogs are welcome at Down to Earth Farmers Markets as long as they do not detract from the goal of providing a safe, pleasant, sociable and welcoming experience for all attendees; rules should be reviewed before bringing a dog.

One of the best parts about this section of morningside heights / south Harlem. I love the fresh veggies, baked goods, pickles, and sweets, and I’ve even bought several pieces of art from local artists!
decently sized with a variety of vendors including gluten-free bread, fresh seafood, local meat, produce, prepared foods, and art. Ample shade from the park trees make for an enjoyable experience. Lastly they have a donation pick up center for clothes, bags, and linens.
Great to have a farmers market this far uptown. It is small but has a few really good vendors like Migliori Farms who manage to grow San Marzano tomatoes every year and also make and sell their own brand of tomato sauce. There is also another stand here, whose name I can't remember, which sells the edible yellow squash flowers which become available only during a very short period during the season.
Very fairly priced veggies at multiple stands. Excellent variety of goods from kombucha, to meats, to coffee, to olive oils and balsamic vinegars, to baked goods. It’s a wonderful stop on a Saturday afternoon, and we visit regularly.
This Saturday market has been such a much needed and appreciated community amenity during the current pandemic. I’ve got so many favorite vendors here that it’s hard to name just a few. The pasta, fish, and pickles really stand out though and they have some new and really interesting rotating vendors. I’m partial to some of the featured distilleries and Kofta from the Bombay Chutney Co. In the interest of full disclosure, I had a role in bringing this market to Morningside Park back in 2005. Having said that, I do not have nor have ever had any financial ties to the market or any of the...
