Farmers Market
Chazy, New York
Chazy Orchards Farm Market sits within an orchard story tied to the Delaware and Hudson Railroad Corporation, a link that places this stop in a longer North Country agricultural route rather than a stand-alone roadside errand. In Chazy, the market centers on apples, local goodies, and baked goods from the bakery, with the orchard’s history reaching back well over two centuries and some trees from the 1920s still standing today. That combination gives the market a clear shape: a seasonal farm stop where the fruit on offer is connected to the land, the orchard’s own timeline, and the apple-growing history of Clinton County.
Clinton County sits at the center of this market’s apple story: when the Macintosh apple was first grown there in the 1800s, it became a major draw as far away as New York City. Chazy Orchards carries that lineage forward through a working orchard and farm market built around apples grown on land with roots going back more than two centuries, including orchard blocks first planted in the 1920s that still remain today. The setting also places the market within a specific regional landscape near Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains, which helps explain why the orchard is presented as both a farm and a destination in Chazy. Locally, this is not just a place to buy fruit; it is one of the ways Chazy’s orchard history stays visible in the present.
Apples are the clear center of gravity here, and the market is shaped more like an orchard storefront than a broad multi-vendor bazaar. The emphasis falls on fruit from the farm, bakery items, and a few extra farm-store goods that extend the visit beyond a quick produce stop.
No dogs are allowed, and there are no restrooms listed for visitors, two details that can change how long you plan to stay at 9486 Route 9. The market runs on Saturdays from September through December, so this is a fall-season visit rather than a year-round shopping routine. Payment methods are clearly indicated on-site, which helps with planning even though no specific payment list is provided here. The market also marks a farm market opening event, reinforcing that the season has a defined start rather than an always-open rhythm. If you are mapping out an orchard-focused stop in Chazy, this one is shaped around apples, bakery goods, and the farm store rather than broad market amenities.
Farm Market & Bakery: baked goods are homemade in the store with daily specials. U-Pick apples are available when the time is right. The market is located at the orchards on Route 9.

The Sweetango apple is a game changer. It is the only apple I will eat without peanut butter. It is super sweet and juicy beyond belief. The homemade pies at the orchard are delicious and the donuts outstanding. Best Orchard EVER
Staff was very helpful and courteous. Great treats, I got apples, pie, cider, hard cider, and doughnuts. Many treats to choose from.
Yes, great place. The apple pies are the closest to what my mom used to make, I've tried all the other orchard pies. They even make a sugar free pie for me, delicious.
Love love love chazy orchard cider donuts and is a must stop everytime i return to the area. I even brought a workers family member some donuts to knoxville, tn. Great prices on utility bags of apples also.
Every year between October and November, I organize our church ladies only trip to Chazy Orchards for apples, fun and fellowship. This year we're going right after church. Several of us god. Those who cannot have is pick up a variety of apples, or bags of their favorite. Lunch is involved, of course, so we usually head to the diner across the road. I wholeheartedly recommend this orchard!! The apples are fresh and fabulous!! 👁️❤️🍎
