Farmers Market
Hopkins, Minnesota
Power of Produce (PoP) Club gives Hopkins Farmers Market a clear family-focused anchor: kids ages 4 to 17 can sign up at the Market Info Booth and receive their own buying power to try fruits and vegetables during the outdoor season. That detail says a lot about the market’s shape. Saturday mornings here are not only for picking up produce; they are also built around helping younger shoppers interact directly with local food through a free program designed around weekly discovery. The market runs at 16 9th Ave S in Hopkins, with the Downtown Park lot as a named on-site landmark and the Information Tent serving as a practical focal point once you arrive.
The PoP Kids’ Club is specifically built to help children discover healthy local produce at Hopkins Farmers Market, and the program centers that learning in the market itself rather than somewhere separate from the shopping trip. Kids use their own weekly buying power to try new fruits and vegetables during the outdoor market season, which ties the market’s local-food mission to a repeated, hands-on routine.
That local emphasis also shows up in how the market organizes visitor services. The Market Info Booth is the sign-up point for the PoP program, and the Information Tent is also where shoppers go to access benefits including EBT, SNAP, Market Bucks, and WIC FMNP coupons. Taken together, those details point to a market that puts food access and produce purchasing at the center of the Saturday visit.
The clearest product emphasis here is seasonal produce, with the market’s own materials pointing shoppers to a “What’s In Season” page and a PoP program built around trying fruits and vegetables. Rather than spotlighting named individual vendors, the market presents its mix through seasonal food planning and produce-centered programming.
No dogs are allowed, so that rule may change your plan before you leave home. Parking is one of the easier logistics here: various parking spots sit steps from the market, handicapped access is available in and around the market lot, and there is extensive parking in the ramp on 10th Ave. S.
Once you arrive, the Information Tent is a key stop because that is where shoppers receive EBT, SNAP, Market Bucks, and WIC FMNP benefits for use at the market. Families planning around the PoP Kids’ Club should head to the Market Info Booth to sign up; the free program is open to ages 4 through 17 during the outdoor market season. Restrooms are not available on site, and the Hopkins Activity Center is a named nearby landmark connected to the market’s visitor information.
Hopkins Farmers Market accepts EBT and SNAP, along with Market Bucks and WIC FMNP coupons, with benefit pickup handled at the Information Tent. That setup makes the tent an important first stop for shoppers using nutrition benefits before they start buying produce and other market goods.
Various parking spots are available and are steps away from the market; handicapped access is in and around the market lot with extensive parking in the ramp on 10th Ave. S.
Onsite ATM is available; EBT/SNAP, Market Bucks, and WIC FMNP coupons are accepted (details provided at the information tent). All vendors accept cash; some vendors take credit cards.

A nice, small farmers market. Always fresh veggies, flowers, fruit, a few food trucks, home made honey, Wisconsin cheese, fresh baked goods and more It's a very small setup so don't plan on staying long. If you're coming from out of town I'd plan to stop for lunch at Hoagies on Main St or peruse one of the many antique stores in downtown Hopkins.
Incredible experience but even more incredible vendors. We had to visit multiple people during our road trip and this farmer's market was perfect for I was able to get a bunch of fresh produce and the most gorgeous bouquets of flowers. I'm only a tourist and yet I love this place and we'll make a stop every time we are back in the twin cities during the summer and fall.
Always a great selection of fresh produce along with homemade bakery products, soap, crafts... Along with a couple of food trucks. I'm never disappointed with the variety of fresh options!
There are lots of fresh fruits and vege stands, as well a variety of others. My husband and I take my mother-in-law. I go primarily for the coffee at No Milk Expresso & Bakery Goods. It's very unique. I'm not a vegan, but for those who are, this is a great stand.
I love the Dancing Gnome veggies - always wonderful! (But there are other vendors, too) Other selections include tasty apples, coffee, and meats. A small, but clean and easy to get to Farmer's Market.
