Indoor Market

Green City Market frames its work around “securing the future of food” by supporting sustainable farmers and food producers, and that mission comes through in the winter indoor market’s lineup. In Chicago, this seasonal Saturday market brings together a large roster of vendors selling produce, meats, breads, prepared foods, flowers, pantry staples, and specialty items during the colder months. The market also states that every vendor is certified by at least one nationally recognized third-party organization tied to environmental stewardship or animal welfare standards, which sets a clear expectation for how vendors are selected.
The winter mix is broad rather than produce-only, with vegetables and microgreens sharing space with meats, cheeses, baked goods, mushrooms, coffee, kombucha, and ready-to-eat dishes. That makes this market useful for a full grocery stop as well as a breakfast or lunch run.
No dogs are allowed, which may shape plans if you're heading to Lincoln Park with a pet. The market is held at 2430 N. Cannon Drive in Chicago during its indoor winter season. Street parking is available on N Rockwell St.. Restrooms are not available on-site. If you shop this market as a full grocery stop, the vendor roster supports that approach: the market lists 65 vendors, including farms with vegetables, fruit, eggs, meats, herbs, flowers, and pantry goods, plus bakers and prepared-food sellers.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Green City Market - Indoor. The vendor roster also highlights many sellers that accept nutrition assistance benefits, including SNAP, WIC, SFMNP, and WIC/SFMNP, which matters if you're planning a benefits-based shopping trip. Payment methods are clearly identified by the market.
Dogs are not allowed within the indoor market, with the exception of service animals.

MOST of the vendors have been at this market for years. The ones I frequent are Iron Creek for fresh organic veggies of the season. The fresh mushroom place (forgive me for not remembering their names) And, any place that sells sweets. See you tomorrow and/or Wednesday. Elaine
Wonderful market. Big variety of vendors. Must be largest in Chicago. An hour of poking around uncovered delicious selection of Augusta, tomatoes, fennel, beets, mushrooms, with flavors and varieties that I don’t find in the local grocery stores. Can’t wait for dinner tonight.
This is great. Farmers market and has such a variety of different items and farms. You want organic grass fed animal..check...organic homemade gluten free blueberry bar of soap..check.. I didn't know there were 10k different types of apples but you know what they say.... Don't drink Friday night and come get a cheese sandwich....
It’s a good farmer’s market, and very charming on a nice summer morning, but the Logan Square market exceeds this one in all ways. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a stop and has a lot of great vendors, but if you’re picking one market in Chicago, head to Logan Square on Sundays! My biggest complaint about this spot is the lack of variety in vendors. Everyone there is great, but only one option for cheese, maybe two for bread, etc. But don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy walking around here for fresh veggies and treats after a morning walk in the park!
I come here on Saturdays. The crowds are smaller earlier in the day. There's a great selection of vegetables, which is my primary reason for going. Other vendors sell baked goods (not gluten-free), plants, flowers, coffee, juice, cider and meat. And more. Lincoln Park is a lovely venue for this market. I appreciate the natural feel as opposed to a parking lot amid buildings. Prices are OK. They are higher than some other markets, but there's also more organic produce here. More vendors accept cards and cash.
