Farmers Market
Ft. Myers, Florida
Alliance for the Arts GreenMarket sits inside a nonprofit arts campus where arts and culture are tied directly to Lee County’s economy, with the organization highlighting $140.1 million in annual economic activity from the nonprofit arts and culture industry in the county. That framing gives this Saturday market a distinct identity in Ft. Myers: it is part of a larger Alliance for the Arts setting rather than a standalone shopping stop. At 10091 McGregor Boulevard, the market shares a campus with Alliance ArtsPark, the Frizzell Gallery, the Foulds Theatre, and the Margaret Morrow Frizzell Amphitheatre, placing a weekly market inside a long-running arts organization’s home base.
The Alliance for the Arts traces its history to 1975, when founding members in Lee County organized around the idea that the county needed an arts alliance to support arts and culture efforts already underway. That local mission matters here because the GreenMarket operates as part of that same institution, on the same McGregor Boulevard campus that also houses theatre, gallery, and ArtsPark spaces.
The calendar around the market is not limited to shopping. The Alliance site also hosts Free Family ArtLabs, Reel Families screenings, youth theatre productions including Dreamland, Something Rotten Jr., and Rent, plus gallery programming. In practice, that means a market visit is embedded in a nonprofit arts center that serves Lee County through recurring public programs, classes, screenings, and performances rather than through retail alone.
What stands out here is the arts-campus context: the market appears on the Alliance calendar alongside film, youth theatre, gallery, and family art programming, so the draw is the setting as much as a documented vendor roster. Specific vendors and product listings are not named in the market materials provided, but these on-site spaces shape the visit:
The calendar also lists Free Family ArtLabs, Reel Families, and Alliance Morning Market, underscoring that Saturdays here connect with a larger schedule of public arts activity.
No dogs are allowed, which is the clearest visit-planning detail to know before arriving at the Alliance for the Arts campus. The market runs on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm at 10091 McGregor Boulevard in Ft. Myers, on the same property as Alliance ArtsPark, the Frizzell Gallery, and the Foulds Theatre. Payment methods are clearly posted by the market, but specific accepted forms are not listed here. Restrooms are not available in the visitor details provided. If you are planning a broader morning, the Alliance calendar regularly includes screenings, youth theatre, and family art programming on the campus, so it helps to think of this stop as part of a larger arts venue rather than a market in isolation.
Admission to the Alliance Morning Market and all accompanying activities is free; a $5 suggested donation helps support the Alliance’s mission. The event includes Local Vendors, Live Entertainment, Family ArtLab, and Free Family Movie.

Great place to take art classes, browse the gallery, watch a theater performance. They have cool events like farmer's markets, art gallery showings, youth and adult theater and many other fun events. Volunteer opportunities for kids and adults. Just an overall wonderful non-profit organization who brings so much arts and theater to the community.
We saw “23 Angry Jurors.” It was a great experience and wonderful performance by all! We will definitely come to another production at Alliance for the Arts. Support your local theatre and the arts!
EXCELLENT performance of 12 Angry Jurors last night!! Best I've seen. Impassioned actors, perfect for their roles. Don't miss it if you can help it! I hope the Alliance does more plays like this!
Small art gallery with indoor and outdoor theatres for functions. It's voluntary and they were setting up a new exhibition when we went. What lovely enthusiastic people run the place. We wish them continuing suuccessin with their contribution to the local arts scene.
This is a beautiful little place if you like art and performances. I drive by all the time and finally took the time to go in during a regular Wednesday arts and crafts event. I will definitely be back.
