Farmers Market
Golden, Colorado
Golden Farmers Market is run by the Golden Chamber of Commerce, a 501(c)6 nonprofit, with a stated mission centered on bringing people together under the tagline “Community Sprouting Growth”. That mission shows up in who the market is built to serve: local farmers, small-business owners and their employees, shoppers using SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks, and the wider Golden community. The market’s annual summer season gives it a clear warm-weather rhythm, while the mix of fresh produce, artisan foods, hand-crafted drinks, artwork, and clothing points to a market that leans both practical and giftable on the same trip.
The mix here spans weekly food shopping and small-scale makers, with room for prepared drink businesses and newer local brands alongside farm-focused staples. Expect a broader browse than a produce-only stop, with categories that include food, art, and clothing in the same market run.
No dogs are allowed at Golden Farmers Market, a rule that can shape plans before you leave home. The market is typically set up in the parking lot at 10th Street and Illinois in Golden, next to the tennis courts, with one noted relocation date to Golden High School at 701 24th Street on July 25. Parking is a mix of options: the free Ore Cart shuttle, paid street and lot parking that is often free for the first two hours before hourly charges begin, private parking not managed by the city, and added bike racks for cycling in. Neighborhood permit-only streets are off-limits, and there are no restrooms listed on-site.
Golden Farmers Market welcomes SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks, with the program framed as part of the market’s effort to build food security in the Golden community. That emphasis also appears in the market’s stated focus on serving community members who use SNAP and Double Up Bucks alongside farmers, small businesses, and the broader public.
Market is located in the parking lot at 10th Street & Illinois in Golden (adjacent to the tennis courts) except July 25 when relocated to Golden High School, 701 24th Street. Parking options include: Free Ore Cart (complementary shuttle), paid street and lot parking with first two hours free in most cases then $2.50/hour and $10/day max (vehicle must be registered at a parking kiosk; do not park on permit-only neighborhood streets), private parking options not managed/owned by the City, and bike-to-market with additional bike racks. Electric vehicle charging requires registration and payment in applicable zones; charging rates are $0.24/kWh plus $1 per 15-minute increment over three hours.
SNAP/Double Up Food Bucks info booth is on the north side of the market; community food advocate provides guidance for receiving Double Up Food Bucks.

This farmers market is so beautiful. I enjoyed the raw whipped honey I got and some fresh “imperfect” peaches! My dog enjoyed some freeze dried dog treats. Had some lovely conversations with some vendors. Everyone was so nice and it was a dog friendly environment with water bowls around. The best water was found at the flower bouquet booth, they kept the water bowls nice and fresh for my dog! Great town and community !
Fun Farmer’s market with lots of produce, coffee, baked goods, and prepared food. We had some delicious hand pies from Legacy Pies and the BEST PEAS I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE from the Ukrainian food truck!
Very cute, quality vendors including soaps, coffee, pastries, and food although I expected a bit more breakfast options to be present. Dog friendly and excellent location though parking can be tough later on.
The Golden Farmers Market is an absolute gem! One of the highlights each week is stopping by Eat a Peach—Jonathan and his experienced team always greet you with a smile and a beautiful selection of seasonal, local produce. They’re constantly introducing new and unique varieties, making every visit a fresh discovery. It’s a must-stop for anyone who values supporting local farms and eating with the seasons! 🥬🍅
