Santa Rosa, California
At 50 Mark West Springs Road at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, the Santa Rosa Original Certified Farmers Market brings a long-running certified market to a North Santa Rosa arts-campus setting. It has operated since 1967 and is run by the Sonoma County Certified Farmers Market Group as a California Certified Farmers Market. That certification shapes what shoppers encounter here: fresh fruit, nuts, vegetables, eggs, honey, herbs, plants, and cut flowers grown and harvested in California, primarily in Sonoma County, along with farm-raised meat from local ranchers. The market’s multiple weekly schedules give it a different rhythm from a once-a-week stop, with Santa Rosa dates on Wednesday and Saturday and additional seasonal days elsewhere in the group’s system.
The mix highlighted here runs from California-grown staples covered by the market’s certification to vendor spotlights that lean into prepared foods, specialty proteins, preserved foods, and garden art. The result is a market where farm products anchor the visit, but several named vendors add a more specific Sonoma County character.
The market calendar also shows recurring Saturday market dates in Santa Rosa, reinforcing that the Saturday market is an ongoing weekly fixture rather than an occasional event.
No dogs are allowed, which can change plans before you leave home. For Santa Rosa shoppers, the market is held at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, where ample free parking is available and restrooms are on site. The market organization runs more than one Santa Rosa day: Wednesday operates from March through December, while Saturday runs all year; Sunday and Thursday schedules apply to other market locations within the same group rather than this Santa Rosa Saturday page. As a certified farmers market, farmers register with the county Agricultural Commissioner, specify what they grow and where they grow it, and agree to farm inspection, a setup intended to protect shoppers from resold produce.
The market accepts CalFresh (SNAP) and WIC benefits, and it also has WIC-certified vendors who accept both programs. Payment methods are presented clearly in market materials, which is useful if you plan to shop across produce, meat, seafood, and prepared-food vendors in one trip.
Ample free parking is available. The market is held at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (Santa Rosa Saturday and Wednesday).
Bathrooms and drinking fountains are available in Luther Burbank Center for the Arts; free drinking water is available at the information booth; portapotties are located at the south end of the market. The market is handicapped accessible with level, asphalt surface and accessible bathrooms/drinking fountains in Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. Live music is on Saturdays and most Wednesdays; chairs and tables are available for dining; free parking is available. Dogs are not allowed.

Today was my first experience at this market, and although it was small (smaller than I anticipated = meaning, fewer vendors), everyone was really kind and pleasant, which goes a long, long way. I really enjoyed speaking with the farmers and the vendors about their businesses. The heart and soul definitely add to the quality of the produce and products. Family friendly and community oriented. Thank you, Sonoma County, for supporting local!
I Adore the Local Farmers Market held at the Luther Burbank Center. You will always find a friendly helpful person who honestly loves what they are selling. Been going since I was a kid and will continue even when I have my own.
Since 1967 The biggest and the best Original Farmers Market in Sonoma County. One can get nearly anything in season here. Not just great Organic veggies, but great food too! Many different kinds of ethnic food from Asian, Indian, to American fusion. Plus so many types of craft vendors to choose from.
Such an incredible experience and a cannot miss! We were passing through town and wanted to hit up a local farmers market. Found this one online and stopped by. The most beautiful flowers. Fresh fruit and food and everyone from vendors to other shoppers were so kind and great at recommendations! We purchased Santa Rosa Plums 😍 Tried the Healsburg Bagel Company breakfast sandwhich - which as absolutely incredible! And could not pass up on the Costeaux Bakery baked goods! These were some of the best baked goods I have ever had and I love pastries!
This is such a great farmer’s market! I’m so lucky because I work nearby so I get to come once or twice a week. Check it out!
