Farmers Market
San Francisco, California
San Francisco Farmers Market Parkmerced is part of the California Farmers’ Markets Association network, tying this stop at Serrano and Arballo Drive to a long-running operator with multiple Bay Area markets and direct relationships with certified farmers. The market’s name places it in Parkmerced, and its mapped location at Serrano and Arballo Drive gives shoppers a specific residential edge-of-city reference point rather than a downtown plaza setting. That matters if you are planning an errand stop in the southwest corner of San Francisco, where the market sits apart from tourist-heavy corridors named elsewhere in the same market system, including Fort Mason Center and the Marina area. CFMA also frames certified farmers’ markets around shorter farm-to-table trips and direct purchases from family farms.
CFMA describes certified farmers’ markets as places to obtain farm-fresh fruits and vegetables on a shorter farm-to-table trip and to purchase directly from a family farm. That framing is especially relevant here because San Francisco Farmers Market Parkmerced is identified within the same operator network that includes markets serving distinct Bay Area neighborhoods and shopping districts, from Fort Mason Center to Serramonte Center. The organization also highlights access to cultural and specialty produce that may not be easy to find through other channels, a useful local point in a region marked in its own materials by community diversity and wide produce variety. In practice, this market’s local value is less about spectacle than about a neighborhood buying point connected to a larger certified system.
No dogs are allowed, and restrooms are marked unavailable, two details that can change how you plan a stop at this market. The address to use is Serrano and Arballo Drive, which is the clearest arrival point provided for San Francisco Farmers Market Parkmerced. Payment methods are not clearly listed, SNAP/EBT is not specified, and no parking or transit details are provided in the market facts, so this is a visit best approached with a flexible payment backup and simple expectations about amenities. If you follow CFMA markets elsewhere, note that this one is presented with far fewer visitor conveniences than better-described sites in the same network, making the location line and house rules the most dependable planning details here. The same sparse profile also means the market reads as a straightforward produce stop rather than a programmed event destination.

A cute small farmers market in San fransisco. They sell organic fruits and vegetables. And even inorganic. Since these are family owned businesses, they are comparatively expensive. There are snack and juice stalls too. A stall was selling fresh fruit and leaves juice & a variety of other juices. Then there are bakery stalls too. Some light music was also playing for entertainment. The market closes around 3.30 pm. Pets are not allowed inside.,
Been shopping at this store for almost 10 years! Love coming here for spices, crema and assorted produce. The folks working here are so nice and always willing to be helpful! I also love to buy their pre seasoned carne asada when they have it at their meat counter. Appreciate how convenient it is located next to my house!
The meat is typically good cuts at a good price. The butcher's are always so helpful and knowledgeable. My family only goes there for fresh produce & meat. Everything else seems to be highly overpriced! I tried to purchase a 6 pack of Milca here... lemme tell you somethin that seemed shady, there's no sticky price tags so you know how much it costs. And you'd never know if you don't typically check your receipts. Maybe I'm just extremely frugal but there's no way I'm paying no frikn $8.99 for a dam 6 pack of soda! A SIX PACK PEOPLE!
Great and nicely price produce. Always clean and with a good selection of Latinx produce that I haven't seen anywhere else.
Here the meat is typically gud and the fruits and vegetables are purely naturally when compared with colour and taste
