Farmers Market
Gualala, California
Gualala CFM sits within the Mendocino County Farmers Market Association network, a market system supported by the USDA Farmers Market Promotion Program. That connection matters here because MCFARM’s stated purpose is to provide low-overhead, cooperatively run marketplaces for vegetables, fruits, and related agricultural products grown and produced in Mendocino and nearby counties, while supporting direct marketing under California rules. For shoppers in Gualala, that gives this market a clear frame: local farm goods and related products offered through a regional organization built around certified farmers markets, not a one-off event.
MCFARM describes its purpose as creating low-overhead, cooperatively run marketplaces for vegetables, fruits, and related agricultural products grown and produced in Mendocino and nearby counties. That puts Gualala CFM inside a regional system designed to support direct sales from growers and producers, rather than routing those products through longer wholesale channels.
The association also says it sponsors and coordinates certified farmers markets strategically located throughout this and adjacent counties to encourage and support direct marketing of locally grown and produced agricultural products in line with California direct marketing regulations. In practice, that gives Gualala shoppers access to a market shaped by the same cooperative structure used across Fort Bragg, Mendocino, Redwood Valley, Ukiah, Willits, and Laytonville listings within the association’s network.
The vendor roster tied to MCFARM leans heavily toward agricultural products, prepared foods, crafts, and a smaller set of meats, cheese, and plant sellers. That mix gives Gualala CFM a practical spread of farm goods, ready-to-eat items, baked foods, and handmade work from vendors who appear across the association’s market network.
No dogs are allowed at the market, which is the detail most likely to change how you plan your visit. Restrooms are not available on site, so it helps to plan that stop before arriving.
The market is located at 47950 Center Street in Gualala. Payment methods are clearly posted, which can make it easier to decide how to shop once you arrive. If you follow multiple MCFARM markets, it is also useful to know that vendors in this network often appear across several Mendocino County locations rather than at just one stop.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Gualala CFM. MCFARM’s own materials also reference EBT, SNAP, and Market Match in its bookkeeping and budget materials, showing that food-access payment programs are part of the association’s operating picture. Payment methods are clearly identified at the market, giving shoppers a clearer sense of what to use at checkout.
Shoppers are advised to bring change/small bills because farmers are rarely set up to accept credit cards in the markets; vendors provide produce bags; shoppers are encouraged to bring reusable bags and an ice chest for perishables.

Sadly the Gualala Community Center is CLOSED as of 2/13/23. Part of the center was destroyed in a fire. Hoping it will return someday!🙏
Nice warm bathrooms, drafty cold auditorium with very small wing areas. I'd love to have even this much where we live.
Just plain Fun!!! Great prices!!! Friendly people! Lots of Good Stuff 👍

A wonderful community resource. Many nonprofits use the center for fundraising and other events.
