Farmers Market
Carmel, California
25
Carmel Farmers Markets at the Barnyard Shopping Village runs under the Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Markets umbrella, which donates up to three booth spaces each month to local nonprofit organizations. That mission-driven setup gives this Tuesday market a clear shape: a seasonal Carmel stop with farm vendors, nursery sellers, and a bakery gathered at 3690 The Barnyard from May through September. The market lists about 25 vendors and operates at the Barnyard Shopping Village, pairing Carmel convenience with a roster that reaches into Watsonville, Salinas, San Juan Bautista, Paso Robles, Stockton, Sanger, and Santa Maria.
This market’s lineup leans heavily toward farm stands, with organic and conventional growers appearing alongside nursery vendors and one bakery listing. The roster is geographically broad for a compact Tuesday market, pulling producers from across the Central Coast and inland California rather than centering on a single town.
Taken together, the vendor list points to a market where shoppers can move between produce, plants, and baked goods in one pass, rather than relying on a long prepared-food roster.
No dogs are allowed at the market; the operator’s market guidance notes that pets have to stay home under California rules for certified farmers markets. Parking is one of the easier logistics here, with lots of free parking and easy access at the Barnyard Shopping Village. The Carmel market runs rain or shine on Tuesdays from 9 am to 1 pm during its May-through-September season, so weather does not cancel the regular setup. Restrooms are not listed among visitor amenities, so plan your stop around the shops and parking access rather than expecting on-site market facilities.
Lots of free parking, easy access.
Animals are prohibited at certified farmers markets per California Health and Safety Code, except for service animals.

I enjoy the Tuesday morning farmers market. Good people produce and products are for sale.
Best strawberries I’ve ever eaten. They’re big, beautiful, sweet and juicy.
Everyone was very friendly we just passed through to get lunch
Mainly for tourists. Extremely overpriced. Not your friendly local fare. Please consider apples, cherry or other fruit farm in close by areas/counties. I regretted my choice of purchasing two extremely expensive and overpriced pastries here due to extreme hunger(Extremely hungry, had no energy to walk to other grocery store in the area, same issue, just like Manhattan, everything is overpriced here). Overall, I do not recommend this market.
