Farmers Market
Belmont, California
Belmont Certified Farmers' Market runs under the PCFMA umbrella, a nonprofit founded in 1988 with a mission to support California farmers and communities through farmers' markets across the Bay Area. That mission gives this Sunday market a clear frame: a certified farmers' market in Belmont tied to a longstanding regional operator rather than a one-off event. Set at El Camino Real and O'Neill St., the market offers a year-round stop in central Belmont for shoppers looking to buy directly from California producers while using a market with confirmed SNAP access. The combination of a weekly schedule, named farm vendors, and PCFMA's food-access programs makes this market especially practical for routine produce shopping.
The vendor mix points to a producer-focused market with farms and nursery stock rather than a long roster of prepared-food operators. Even from the short published vendor list tied to Belmont, the emphasis stays on California-grown goods and agricultural sellers connected to PCFMA's wider network.
That limited but concrete list suggests a market built around direct farm participation rather than broad retail variety, which can matter if you're specifically shopping for growers and plant sellers instead of packaged goods.
No dogs are allowed at Belmont Certified Farmers' Market, which is the clearest visit-planning detail to know before arriving. The market takes place at El Camino Real and O'Neill St. in Belmont and runs on Sundays from 9am to 1pm on a year-round schedule, so the shopping window is consistent instead of seasonal. Restrooms are listed as unavailable, another practical detail that can shape how long you plan to stay and whether you want to make this a quick errand rather than a longer morning stop. Payment methods are clearly indicated by the operator, which helps if you're deciding ahead of time how to pay at individual stands. With named producers on the roster and a central Belmont location, the market reads as a straightforward weekly farm-shopping stop rather than an event-led outing.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Belmont Certified Farmers' Market through PCFMA's programs, and the operator also highlights Market Match alongside WIC-FMNP as part of its fresh-food access effort. That makes this market a usable option for shoppers planning to pay with nutrition benefits, not just cash or cards. Payment methods are also clearly communicated at the market level.

I regularly shop there only because of Teng Lee, the best farmer in my opinion. He grows a huge variety of (Asian) vegetables that I can't find in other grocery stores. He taught me how to grow my own vegi and fruits organically. He told me everything about his farm, how he worked his farm, how to prevent bugs naturally, how to fertilize using compost, etc. They eat what they grow. His wife even showed me how to make salad using their own produce on the spot. I totally trust their produce even though they didn't bother to have their produce certified as organic. Many people love them and buy...
A bustling and abundant local weekly market that meets every Sunday morning, supplying fresh organic produce as well as baked goods, cuisine from around the world, fresh local eggs, fresh pressed juices, etc. I highly recommend participating if you find the liberty to do so as it only continues to grow and expand with new vendors consistantly being added.
Small but beautiful produce available for reasonable prices. If I wasn't riding my bicycle, I would have taken home a Beckman Pie! The only issue I have is that the vendor I purchased from (AA Farms) with credit card, added a 10% surcharge without telling me. I figure it was a transaction fee but they should have said so before adding the charge. I don't recall seeing a sign like some vendors do. Oh well.
My go-to Farmer's Market. Vendors are friendly and the selection is always changing based on the season. Fresh produce for unbeatable prices. Parking can be tricky but if you go right at the end there's more spaces and you'll get better deals!
Japanese deserts made by very nice lady They sell out fast so you need to get their early like 8:45 or 9am Sundays. I have not seen her so updating. But I have found same deserts at Japanese Market on 4th Ave downtown San Mateo.
