Farmers Market
Cody, Wyoming
At 720 Sheridan Ave in Cody, the Big Horn Basin Farmers Market Cody runs on Thursdays from late afternoon into early evening, giving this market a distinct after-work rhythm in town. The market season runs from June to October, and the vendor mix centers on locally grown fruit and vegetables, baked goods, meats, eggs, crafts, and other products from locally based vendors. Within that mix, the Cody market’s current vendor roster ranges from honey producers and a diversified vegetable farm to natural beef, cookies, and imported Italian pantry goods, which makes the shopping feel broad without losing its small-market focus.
The strongest through-line here is a mix of local farm goods and specialty pantry items, with several vendors named directly enough that you can shop with a plan instead of browsing blind. The overall market also emphasizes locally grown produce, baked goods, meats, eggs, crafts, and other products from locally based vendors, so the named sellers sit inside a broader farm-market assortment.
One visitor highlighted that the market still had area-grown produce on offer, mentioning green tomatoes as a purchase, which lines up with the produce-forward emphasis described by the market itself.
No dogs are allowed, so that is the detail most likely to change your plan before you leave home. The shopping window is also short: the Cody market runs only on Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. during the June-to-October season, making this more of a focused weekly stop than an all-day outing. Payment methods are clearly indicated by the market, which helps if you like to decide how to pay before arriving.
Restrooms are not available, another practical point that matters with kids or a longer afternoon in town. If you need to reach the market directly, a phone contact is listed at 307-899-2660. One visitor also noted confusion online about hours, so it helps to plan around the Thursday evening schedule rather than assuming broader availability.

I highly suggest making the time to attend the farmers marker. Its not just merch stuff like lots of "farmers markers" have turned to across the country. Theres acrually farm produce from the area. We picked up green tomatoes and had fried green tomatoes for the first time in ages. We also bought some local ranchers pet food for our dog and he absolutely loved it!
Anyone who’s written a critical review about the farmers market saying it’s open 24 hours is merely ornery. Obviously it’s not open 24/7. Do an actual Google search for the hours. Be grateful there’s a farmers market at all, and grateful to the producers. Thank you! :)
I had a great time meeting all the food producers in Cody Wyoming! I went during the indoor / winter season and was so surprised to see how many amazing products were available to the public! Great group of people and highly recommended!
It’ll probably got a fifth star, but it was raining so there was only a few vendors but what they had look good
Great group that has wonderful choices. I wanted to say thanks to each of them for great conversation and wonderful product.
