Iron County Farmers Market runs in Hurley from June through October, with midweek and Saturday shopping that gives locals and cabin-country visitors two distinct chances to stop in during the short Northwoods growing season. The market meets at 13420 N 10th Ave, just off Highway 51 across from the Days Inn and Econolodge, which makes it easy to find even if you are coming through town rather than heading to a neighborhood square. One visitor described plenty of in-season produce, plus baked goods and handcrafted products, while noting that early-season selection can start smaller because of frost risk in this part of the region. That combination gives the market a practical, seasonal rhythm rooted in what is actually ready.
The mix here leans toward a small seasonal market where farm goods share space with baking, crafts, and occasional educational programming tied to making things by hand. Reviews point to changing availability across the season, with produce becoming fuller as summer advances and local harvests catch up after frost risk.
One visitor also noted that there is sometimes music and sometimes kid-focused or adult community events connected to agriculture or local produce, though the market calendar currently shows no upcoming public events.
No dogs is the clearest policy to plan around before you arrive. The market location is 13420 N 10th Ave in Hurley, and the practical landmark is Highway 51: it sits across from the Days Inn and Econolodge, a useful cue if you are driving through the corridor rather than navigating by side streets. Parking guidance uses the same landmark-based setup, identifying the site as off Hwy 51 across from those hotels. Restrooms are not available at the market. The listed market phone number is 906-285-0757. If you are shopping early in the season, one visitor’s note about frost-delayed harvests is worth keeping in mind; June can open with a smaller selection before more produce comes in.

This farmer's market is open conveniently on Saturdays across the highway from Pat's. There is plenty of in season produce. Sometimes there's music. Sometimes there's community events for kids that educated and excite them for agriculture or for adults that highlight local produce in a meal. Keep in mind if you're from out of town that our growing season often doesn't start until the second week of June because of threats of frost, so they might start off with a small selection. That's how you know they're local. I've bought produce, baked goods, and hand crafted products at this market...
Gluten free scones and bread are so appreciated. Wonderful vendors. Great produce.
Best place to buy local crafts and produce.
Nice selection of farmers vegetables and home made goods.
