Norfolk, Virginia
Hampton Blvd Farmers Market runs in Norfolk from April through September, with a vendor mix centered on locally farmed, harvested, and produced agricultural goods, specialty foods, and some handmade household goods made largely with agricultural items. The market brings together Norfolk-grown produce, Chesapeake seafood, pasture-raised meats, breads and pastries, hydroponic greens, kombucha, coffee, honey, and prepared foods in one stop. That emphasis gives the market a clearly food-forward identity rather than an arts-and-crafts mix, with rules that exclude art, clothing, used goods, mass-produced goods, and antiques from the regular market.
Norfolk produce and regional food vendors shape the market most strongly, with plenty of options for shoppers building a full meal as well as picking up pantry items and specialty drinks. The lineup also includes a few practical household and service vendors, so the range extends beyond groceries without drifting away from the market's agricultural focus.
Markets are rain or shine, though brief early thunderstorms can temporarily pause sales and widespread storms or storms in the final hour can close the market for the day.
Parking is available in the church lot, but that lot does not hold all market customers; nearby neighborhood street parking is part of the plan here. The market is held at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd at 7400 Hampton Blvd., at the intersection with North Shore Road. Dogs are not allowed, and restrooms are not available. Payment methods are clearly communicated by the market, which helps when you are planning purchases across produce, meats, seafood, baked goods, and pantry vendors. If weather turns, the market operates rain or shine, with temporary pauses or early closure possible during storms.
Transportation is available by bus via Hampton Roads Transit. The church lot parking is limited; street parking is available nearby.

Visited twice and both times have been good experiences. Tons of great stuff! I love the Bavarian cream churro! Picked up a strawberry peppermint plant also!
Legit farmer's market right on Colley Ave in the heart of Ghent. Lots of vendors packed into the small space. Tea, cheese, meat, eggs, popsicles, kombucha, hot sauce, energy drinks, soap, dog treats, art work and even some live entertainment some weeks! Check out their Instagram for weekly vendor listings. Always something good to take home. Folks are friendly and no pressure to buy. Feel free to just stroll around and enjoy a Friday evening on Colley. Good luck leaving without finding something you like though! I never can! Joysicles are the kids favorite Overachieving Tea takes the place of...
I wasn't overwhelmingly impressed but I can admit this is a nice dog friendly 'farmers market'. There are surprisingly a variety of vendors strategically placed in this small space on Blair Middle School grounds. I guess I was expecting a wider variety of fruits/vegetables and food items. There were several stands with crafts and wares. I didn't get a chance to hear the children perform [instrumentals] but that is definitely a wonderful addition to the market. I look forward to visiting next season [April-September].
Great event! Dog friendly and lots of good offerings.
