Farmers Market
Great Falls, Virginia
Great Falls Community Farmers Market centers its mission on providing Great Falls residents with a community farmers market, and that focus shapes the market as much as its vendor list does. It also defines itself as a produce-only, farm-to-table market where vendors must grow, cultivate, produce, or make what they sell, giving the Saturday lineup a direct-producer feel rather than a resale mix. The result is a compact market with farmers, prepared-food makers, and specialty producers appearing side by side, from berries and vegetables to butcher cuts, bagels, coffee, and empanadas.
The vendor mix leans practical and food-forward, with produce, meat, seafood, baked goods, coffee, and ready-to-eat options sharing space with a smaller set of floral and home-goods sellers. Because the market requires vendors to grow, cultivate, produce, or make their products, the lineup reads like a roster of individual makers rather than a general retail spread.
One visitor specifically called out Liberty Hill Farm for organic meat, eggs, and soup, My Empanadas for homemade empanadas, and Diaz Berries for fruit and vegetables, which gives a useful snapshot of what a real shopping run here can look like. Another visitor singled out tomatoes, zucchini, and squash after a visit, reinforcing that produce is a central draw. The clearest thread here is how firmly the market ties food shopping to producer identity. Its own rules say vendors must grow, cultivate, produce, or make what they sell, and the vendor roster follows through with names that read like individual farms and makers rather than broad departments: Diaz Berries & Veggies, Liberty Hill Farm, Oliver’s Corner Butcher Shop, Lempira Coffee, My Empanadas, and Wonky Wicks. That structure makes the market feel intentionally small-scale. One visitor even described it as “SO TINY!!” while still finding exactly what they came for, including meat, eggs, soup, empanadas, fruit, and vegetables. In Great Falls, that combination of a compact footprint and a producer-only standard seems to be the point: a short market run where the names on the signs are the names behind the goods.
No dogs are allowed, which is the detail most likely to change how you plan your visit. The market runs on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm at 778 Walker Road in Great Falls. Restrooms are not available on site. Payment methods are clearly posted by the market, which helps when you are deciding how to split a shop between produce, meat, seafood, coffee, and prepared foods. If you are choosing between a full grocery stop and a quick pickup, the vendor mix supports both: you can build a basket around produce and proteins or stop in for bagels, coffee, empanadas, or other prepared foods.

My daughter's game got rained out and we stumbled upon this adorable farmers market. I cannot tell you how amazing the vegetables were here. We've only had a chance to finish all the tomatoes and the zucchini and squash, but fresh is best honestly
20240608 First time here... SO TINY!! in a rich neighborhood. I'm really surprised by how small this farmers market is!! I thought the one on Lawyers Rd, Reston, was tiny. Oh my, this market is tiny!! Fortunately, it has what I need... an organic meat, eggs, and soup (Liberty Hill Farm), homemade emparandas (made by the grandma of the sweet young ladies), and fruits and veggies (Diazberries). I got some turkey and wild rice soup, chicken and rice soup, eggs, emparandas (chicken, veggies, and beef), green beans, and Blackberries and blueberries which are very sweet 😋. The veggies emparanda...
Friendly service, great fresh groceries. The vendors remember you, your choices and are very helpful. You feel like you are with family.
It was smaller than expected about seven shops including Veggie and Fruits, lotions, soap, pre-made home cooked meals, sweets, and meat. There was live music which was a nice touch. If you're close by it's worth dropping by, but if not I wouldn't travel over 20 mins for it.
Great Farmer's Market is open. Offers fresh produce and other goodies.
