Rosslyn’s market sits inside a district shaped by the Rosslyn BID’s mission to create a vibrant, connected community, giving this stop a civic role as well as a shopping one. At 1911 North Fort Myer Drive in Arlington, the Rosslyn Farmers and Artists Market places that mission in a 17-block mixed-use urban center that the Rosslyn Business Improvement District maintains and promotes. The setting stands out because the market belongs to a downtown Rosslyn landscape of plazas, offices, residences, and public space rather than a purely residential neighborhood. That makes it a practical errand stop for people already moving through Rosslyn’s daily rhythm.
The Rosslyn Business Improvement District frames its work around enhancing, growing, and maintaining the community within Rosslyn’s BID boundaries, and the market fits directly into that local mission. Rosslyn itself is defined as a 17-block mixed-use urban center, so a recurring farmers and artists market adds street-level activity to a district built for living and working in close quarters.
The market also sits within a network of Rosslyn places that residents and workers already use, including Central Place Plaza, Gateway Park, Bennett Park, Dark Star Park, and the Rosslyn Metro station. In that context, the market supports the BID’s stated goal of strengthening Rosslyn as a connected community rather than functioning as a stand-alone attraction. Its partnership ties matter too: FRESHFARM is named alongside the market, linking Rosslyn’s local programming with a regional food organization already active in the area.
The defining mix here is in the name: a Rosslyn market that pairs farmers with artists, set within the BID’s broader public programming around markets and placemaking. Specific vendor rosters and product lists are not published here, but the market is clearly presented as one part of Rosslyn’s market lineup and its partnership with FRESHFARM.
No dogs are allowed, which is the clearest on-the-ground rule likely to change how you plan a visit. The market is located at 1911 North Fort Myer Drive, in the Rosslyn district and near the Rosslyn Metro station, which helps orient anyone arriving on foot through the neighborhood’s office-and-plaza grid. Rosslyn landmarks named with the district’s market programming include Central Place Plaza, Gateway Park, Bennett Park, Theodore Roosevelt Island, and Dark Star Park, so it makes sense to treat a market stop as part of a broader Rosslyn walk rather than as a single-purpose drive. Restrooms are not available in the market’s visitor details, and payment methods are not clearly specified in the published visit information.

You good vendors, but there aren't a lot of vendors in total. The Mediterranean food vendor is very good, including the pistachio baklava and hummus. There's an ice pops vendor, number one Suns pickles, one produce vendor, one sprouts vendor, and sometimes the vegan struggle lady shows up. Oh, and one butcher shop that's actually pretty good.... I liked their ground turkey but they don't always have it.
Quaint farmers market Wed 3-7pm right off the Rosslyn metro station on the plaza next to McD's. You'll find diverse culinary cuisines with 1/2 a dozen vendors selling Turkish food, Ethiopian, assortment of Austrian strudels, produce, bread, pastries, and even kombucha. I took a night off from cooking after taking home a bag full of goodies from the market! Here are my favorite vendors: - Savor Ethiopic (5/5) - The spongy injera, yellow lentils, spicy lentils, cabbage, collard greens gomen, potatoes & carrots, and quinoa were all bursting with flavor and hit the spot! Generous portion and...
Baked goodies, fresh veg, and other things. It’s not huge but it’s fresh.
A little expensive though but after all you get fresh !
