Old Town Alexandria Farmers' Market welcomes shoppers every Saturday, rain or shine, with hours from 7:00 a.m. to noon. During City Hall and Market Square renovations, the market temporarily operates in the 100 block of N. Royal Street and the courtyard at Tavern Square, just across from Market Square. The market features a broad mix of offerings from 70+ vendors, including fruits and vegetables, baked goods, meats, dairy, cheeses, breads and pastries, fresh pasta, pickled vegetables, cut flowers, potted plants, soaps, jewelry, and art. Parking is free on Saturdays in nearby garages during market hours, and the market is accessible via Old Town Trolley and DASH buses. SNAP customers can use EBT at the market, and the SNAP Double Dollars program matches benefits up to $20.
Pets are not permitted within the Farmers' Market boundaries during operating hours. Bikes are not permitted on Market Square during the hours of the Farmers’ Market; bike racks are available within 300 feet of Market Square area.
