Farmers Market
Newry, Pennsylvania
Leighty's Farm Market in Newry brings together a spread that goes well beyond produce stands, with shopping and service stops that range from a soda shop and hot sauce store to computer repair and a driving range. The market runs daily from April through June, giving it a different rhythm than a once-a-week pop-up and making it easier to fold into a regular errand run or roadside stop. One visitor summed up that variety as “flowers, hardware, candy and goodies, gift-shop style gifts, home grown produce and honey, apple cider, groceries,” along with room to walk around and shop. That mix gives Leighty's a broad, multi-stop feel rather than a narrow single-category market.
Leighty's stands out for its unusual mix of retail, specialty food, and service-oriented tenants gathered under one market name. Instead of repeating the same farm-table lineup from stall to stall, the draw here is the contrast between nostalgic snacks, practical goods, and destination-style specialty stops.
Visitor notes add a little more texture to that mix. One recent shopper called out jams and jellies, sweet potato butter, and kind staff, while another mentioned flowers, honey, apple cider, groceries, and gift-style goods among the things they found while walking the grounds. Taken together, those observations suggest that the market experience here can stretch beyond the named in-house businesses to include food items and browse-worthy extras that reward a slower lap through the property.
No dogs are allowed, which is the detail most likely to change plans before you head out. Restrooms are not available on site, so longer browsing visits may take a little more planning than a quick stop. The market keeps daily hours from 7am to 9pm during its April-to-June season, which makes it workable for an early errand, an afternoon browse, or an evening pass-through rather than only a morning market trip. Payments are clearly communicated on site, a helpful detail when you're moving between specialty food, retail, and service-oriented stops in one place. If your timing lines up with Sunday, the outdoor flea market adds another layer to the visit because it follows its own Sunday-only seasonal run from early April into late October.
Free photo scenes are available in aisle 6 during all store hours; children must be accompanied by an adult. Smartphone tripods are available.

We stop here weekly for apples, veggies, ice cream. Our FAV place to buy gifts.
Great place to go. They sell a wide variety of products, including many made locally. They always have a huge selection of flower and vegetable plants in the spring. Fair prices.
A little something for everyone here. Usually stop in here once a year but we make the most out of it every time we do. Whether it's fresh veggies and fruit, canning supplies, or other products, it's always worth the trip in.
