Farmers Market

Roots Country Market and Auction connects directly to the wider Graystone Road event grounds through Heart of Lancaster Arts & Craft Shows, one of the named partners tied to the site’s annual calendar. In Manheim, that gives the market a broader footprint than a single shopping stop: regular market days sit alongside car, truck, and cycle shows, flea market dates, and seasonal holiday programming under the same Root’s banner. The address at 705 Graystone Rd. places it in the middle of that larger Root’s complex, with nearby event parking directed to 720 Graystone Road for major shows.
The scale here is unusually concrete: Root’s promotes a standholder directory covering more than 200 vendors, which means the market operates as an established selling ground for a large number of businesses in one Manheim location. That matters locally because the market is not limited to one narrow format. Its calendar includes a Produce Auction and a Poultry Auction alongside the regular country market and flea market activity, showing multiple ways agricultural goods and rural trade move through the same place.
The surrounding partnerships add another local layer. Heart of Lancaster Arts & Craft Shows, Graystone Small Animal Sale, and Stover’s Produce Auction are all named alongside Root’s, linking the market to neighboring event and auction activity rather than treating it as a standalone attraction. That combination makes Root’s feel like an ongoing marketplace campus on Graystone Road.
The clearest picture of the market mix comes from its standholder directory: Root’s emphasizes the breadth of vendors and products more than a short featured list, pointing shoppers toward a large roster rather than a handful of highlighted stands. With 200-plus vendors referenced in that directory, the draw is range and repeat browsing.
The events calendar adds another layer beyond shopping. Root’s schedules Saturday Flea Markets at Root’s Old Mill Flea Market, a Spring Car, Truck, & Cycle Show, a Fall Car, Truck & Cycle Show, and multiple Christmas show dates under the Root’s name.
No dogs is the clearest rule to plan around before heading to Root’s. Timing also matters because the market runs on two different weekly patterns: Saturdays operate from April through November from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., while Tuesdays continue year-round with 9 a.m. starts and later evening hours, shifting from 9 p.m. in April through October to 8 p.m. in November through March.
If you are going during one of the larger event dates, parking directions change. For events, Root’s directs visitors to park at Root’s Old Mill Flea Market, 720 Graystone Road, Manheim. Saturday plans can also be affected by special event scheduling, since the flea market calendar notes closures on specific Saturdays for Heart of Lancaster Arts & Craft Shows and converts November 21 into the Root’s Christmas Show.
Old Mill Flea Market: 175+ vendor stands; open every Tuesday year-round 6 a.m. until dusk. Saturday Flea Market: open every Saturday April through November 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with exceptions listed for Heart of Lancaster Arts & Crafts Show, Labor Day weekend, and the Root’s Annual Christmas Show weekend of Thanksgiving.

Love Roots market on Tuesday! Shoppers can get fresh local produce, home decor, collectable, pretty much anything you can think of!! Duringbthe summer months they also have a flea market on the outer part of the property. Awesome vendors!
Endless array of vendors with fresh fruit and produce to pick from. If you don’t need anything when you come here,, I’m sure you’ll leave with something! Friendly flea market and I’d suggest to get here early to get the bargains! I great place to catch pictures of a train,, train passes through adjacent to the market, very slow for safety and it’s a great place for close up pictures.
Amazing place! Lots of vendors inside and outside. Produce, meat, cheese, bread, bakery items, dry goods, candy! You name it - they have it! It is a place you can come and spend a couple hours, eat breakfast or lunch or supper - subs, sausage sandwiches, a restaurant, ice cream, hambergers, coffees and even bubble teas! Lots of craft items, general store, pet needs - have a great time! Also a flea market, antique vendors, an Artisan Mill and the Emporium - more vendors! Have a great time all year around!!
The best place for all your produce needs and wants. They also have lunch options, dinner options...the place has a little bit of everything. I look forward to going there every Tues and wish they had at least one more day open with all the vendors that are there on Tuesday. I would definitely accommodate my days off from work to make it here.
The bounty of fresh produce, meat, chicken and fresh sausage is unmatched. The prices are very reasonable. However, only select vendors accept credit cards, so bring cash. Basil was $1, carrot bunches $2 and 1/2 doz corn $1.50.
