Farmers Market
Astoria, Oregon
Astoria Sunday Market is tied to the Astoria Uppertown Business Association, and that partnership fits the market’s setting on 12th Street in downtown Astoria. From May through October, the market runs on Sundays between Marine Drive and Exchange Street, combining fresh produce, local arts and crafts, food, music, and more in a downtown street-market format. The market began in 2000 and now covers four city blocks in historic downtown Astoria, giving it a footprint that matches the scale of a main-street outing rather than a quick farm stand stop.
On 12th Street in downtown Astoria, this market brings together products that are hand-crafted, grown, created, or gathered by the farmers, craftspeople, and artisans who sell them each week. That direct-maker emphasis matters in a place where the market stretches across four city blocks in historic downtown and operates as part of the weekly rhythm of the district. The market is also connected to local and regional food access efforts through North Coast Food Web, Clatskanie Food Hub, WIC, FDNP, SNAP, Double-Up Food Bucks, and Power of Produce. In practice, that means the market is not only a place to shop but also a place where food programs and downtown commerce meet on a regular Sunday schedule.
The mix here is broad rather than narrow: a downtown street market with farm goods, handmade work, prepared food, and live entertainment folded into one outing. The market notes that weekly vendor placement is updated by Friday, so the exact lineup can shift from week to week.
Parking is typically ample within three blocks of the market, with parking lots at the Sunset Empire Transit District at 10th and Marine. The market is located on 12th Street in downtown Astoria, between Marine Drive and Exchange Street, so it helps to orient yourself to those cross streets before arriving. Dogs are welcome. Restrooms are not listed as available, which may affect how long you plan to stay. If you want the most current booth locations, the vendor map is updated weekly by the beginning of the day on Friday, and the market notes that those maps can change.
Astoria Sunday Market accepts SNAP and EBT, and it matches up to $20 through Double-Up Food Bucks. The market also lists WIC and FDNP among its food-access partners and programs, reinforcing that nutrition benefits are built into how the market operates.
Well-behaved, leashed dogs are allowed. Parking is typically ample within 3 blocks; parking lots are at Sunset Empire Transit District (10th & Marine).

Came here second Sunday of May, 2025, was a fun experience! 3 blocks wide with lots of different vendors. There was lots of food trucks available. The live music was also nice. Surprised that there was only 2 stalls with fresh veggies/fruit, but maybe it was too early in the season. There was one stand with playing cards that had original drawings on all the cards, and there was some for many different cities, very cool!
HUGE local market that goes on for blocks and blocks! Worth exploring every nook and cranny. Food, art, crafts, and farm fresh goodies from booth to booth. Dog and family friendly, with price points for every budget. A must-visit every Sunday in downtown Astoria from Mother's Day thru the 2nd week in October. Love it!
In my experience Astoria is the only place I've found a farmers market on a Sunday. Most are held on Saturday, so I'm happy to find this amazing treasure of talented vendors. This is one of the better farmers markets I've visited. Wide variety of arts & crafts, baked goods, but my favorite are the flower stands!
Please, please find the food carts and order freshly made Crabcakes from Sue!!!! You will not be disappointed. The Sunday Market is huge, lots of local vendors, artists, farmers, ect to choose from.
One of the best farmers markets we've been too. Wide selection of fruits and veggies along with handmade craft items. There were even food trucks and prepared food with places to eat while we were there. Unfortunately, I didn't get to have a Dirty Dancing moment and carry the watermelons on sale, but the opportunity was there!
