Farmers Market
Dover, Ohio
Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market centers its identity on a producer-only mission for Tuscarawas County, with an emphasis on creating value within the community rather than functioning as a resale market. In Dover, that gives the Wednesday market a clear point of view: the focus stays on goods tied directly to the people who grow or make them for this market. The market season runs from June into October, and the weekly setup combines that producer-first approach with practical food access, including Ohio Direction Card acceptance and other payment options. For shoppers looking for a midweek stop built around local growers and straightforward food shopping, that mission is the defining detail here.
The strongest named emphasis here is produce. Two growers are identified as anchor produce vendors, which gives the market a clearly farm-centered mix rather than a broad catalog of unrelated stalls.
That combination of anchor growers and an in-season weekly demo points to a market built around using what is being sold that day, not just browsing.
No dogs is the clearest day-of-visit rule, so leave pets at home when planning a Wednesday stop at 259 S. Tuscarawas Ave in Dover. The market operates once a week, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays between June and October, which makes this a midweek shopping trip rather than a weekend errand. Restrooms are not available on site, another detail that can shape how long you plan to stay. If you want to line up shopping with one of the market’s added programs, Lehman’s supports cooking demos every market day at 5:00 p.m. inside the Clover Café. The market’s stated producer-only mission also sets expectations for what you’ll encounter: vendors are presented around what they themselves grow or provide, with anchor produce growers called out by name.
Ohio Direction Card is accepted at Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market, making SNAP use part of the market’s regular payment setup. The market also accepts credit cards and Ohio WIC, giving shoppers more than one way to pay during the Wednesday season. With payment methods clearly posted by the market, this is a place where food-access programs are built into how shopping works week to week.
Cooking demos are held each Wednesday at 5:00pm inside the Clover Café at the fairgrounds. The market has an Information Booth for token redemption (including SFMNP tokens) and for card-based Carrot Cash tokens.

Its kind of small but I get the best homemade bread there. I also am able to get a much better price on grass fed beef than any local stores.
Fresh local produce & homemade baked goods. Grab a bite to eat from one of the tasty food trucks while you survey the quality goods. Great place to visit every Wednesday from 3-7pm. Yum !
Alot of fresh produce, maple syrup from Camp Tuscazor and fresh mushrooms (oysters and Lion's mane). There's people selling free range beef, eggs and goat milk. That's great if you are lactose intolerant like me.
Lots of goodies, fresh veggies and homemade bread and cheese and milk. Nuts and fresh roasted coffee. Homemade hulless popcorn that is to die for. Fresh raw honey. Meats and bbq. One more week left. Make it.
Excellent selection. SNAP and other food assistance are accepted and up to $20 is matched. They have carts to move food. There is fresh local dairy products, mushrooms, homey, maple syrup, a wide range of veggies, micro greens, soaps, hand sanitizer, lotions, even hot sauce. Booths were set up in accordance to guidelines and there was a nice flow.
