Farmers Market
Columbus, Ohio
9
1871 North High Street puts this market directly on the Ohio State campus at the Wexner Center Plaza, where an outdoor Thursday stop brings fresh, local, and seasonal food into the university area. The setup is especially convenient for Ohio State students, staff, and faculty, along with nearby residents who want a shorter trip to produce and prepared goods. It runs as a compact late-summer market rather than a sprawling all-day outing, with nine listed vendors and a clear campus-oriented focus. One practical detail stands out: 100% of profits go directly to local farmers, tying each purchase closely to the growers and makers showing up here.
The vendor mix leans heavily toward breads, baked goods, and farm products, which makes this market feel tailored to campus shoppers picking up dinner ingredients, pantry staples, or a loaf on the way home. Alongside the bakery presence, the roster includes produce growers, a student-run farm, and a mill, so the selection reaches beyond snacks into ingredients with a direct local footprint.
A few vendors also participate in CSAs, giving regular shoppers another way to buy into the same local network represented at the plaza each week. Some vendors accept SNAP benefits as well, which broadens how shoppers can use the market for routine food purchases rather than treating it as an occasional stop. With only nine vendors listed, the market reads as focused and manageable: enough variety to build a meal or pick up several staples, without the long aisle-by-aisle pace of a much larger market.
No dogs are allowed, an important detail if you usually pair a campus walk with a market stop. The market is held rain or shine, so weather does not automatically cancel the Thursday setup on the Wexner Center Plaza. If payment flexibility matters, some vendors accept SNAP benefits, but that acceptance is not universal across the market. There are no restrooms listed in the visit details, so plan your stop accordingly. The market’s August-to-October run also makes this a narrow seasonal window rather than a year-round habit, with late-afternoon hours that line up neatly with class, work, and end-of-day errands near High Street.
Held rain or shine. SNAP benefits are accepted by some vendors. 100% of profits go directly to local farmers. Some vendors participate in CSAs with the market as a pickup spot.

Good views from all seats. I am 6'6" tall and the leg room was good. Width of seats are on the narrow side, but tolerable if your next to a smaller person. Overall a good experience.
Went to see Larry the Cable Guy. He is still one hysterically funny dude. I can't remember the last time I was at Mershon, it was a perfect place. As we were walking in to scan our tickets, we were directed to see a lady standing a few feet past the entrance. She upgraded our seats! We received excellent seats that where even closer than our original ones. A big shout out to QFM96 for providing our tickets to the show. You guys rocked our date night out! Blessing to you all!
I saw my first comedy show here. Was worried about parking. Not a issue at all, it was a short walk to garage and easy in and out. Facility was clean and roomy, Even for a bigger guy. Seats are comfortable with good leg room. Would recommend and go again.
Great little venue to see just about anything. We were there for a comedy show and I don't think that there would be a bad seat in the house. Staff was super polite and belpful.
Great place to see a concert. I saw Chicago. Seats were excellent and priced right. Sound was great. Comfortable inside. Felt safe coming and going. Plenty of parking in the garage. Definitely would go again.
