Farmers Market
Davidson, North Carolina
35
Founded in 2008, The Davidson Farmer's Market operates as a 501(c)3 and a producer-only market, giving local farmers and purveyors a place to sell directly to shoppers. In Davidson, that structure shapes the experience: more than 35 vendors within a 100-mile radius represent over 1,100 acres in surrounding counties, creating a market centered on local food rather than resale. The result is a Saturday stop where produce, proteins, seafood, baked goods, flowers, pantry items, and prepared specialties all come from a clearly local vendor mix.
The mix here runs wide without losing its local focus: farms, fisheries, bakers, beverage makers, plant growers, and pantry producers all appear in the same lineup. With more than 35 vendors, the market covers both weekly staples and specialty foods that can change what ends up in your bag.
No dogs are allowed, a detail that may change plans if you're used to bringing a pet along on Saturday errands. The market runs on Main Street in Davidson and keeps a short Saturday window from 9 am to noon during its April-to-October season, so timing matters more here than at an all-day market. This is also a producer-only market, which means the vendor roster is built around farmers and purveyors selling their own goods directly to shoppers. With more than 35 vendors serving over 1,300 shoppers per week, the market packs a lot into a compact morning footprint.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at The Davidson Farmer's Market. Payment methods are otherwise clearly communicated by the market, which helps if you're planning a larger produce, protein, or pantry run instead of a quick browse.
Accepts cash, credit & SNAP/EBT. SNAP Double Bucks matching program available (match up to $50 per market day). Pet policy asks visitors to leave pets at home or walk them in an area away from the market.

The Davidson Farmer's Market is one of the best markets in the state. I will fight you over that. I am a local performer who plays there rather frequently and loves to shop as well. This market has incredible vendors and walking in feels like walking up to a family reunion for a family you didn't even realize you were part of! The vendors cover a delightfully wide range of goods and their live entertainment is always amazing (spoken humbly, of course). If you need fresh, friendly, food & wares...it's worth any amount of driving you have to do.
Nice market that is close to us. Fresh produce, fruits, flowers, soaps, meats, knife sharpening, music, pastries, sprouts etc. Thank you to all the farmers, vendors and Davidson Market staff. The market is behind a couple of coffee places, food and shops. Nice college town vibe.
I always have a good experience going to the farmers market. The people are nice and everything is so fresh. I bought 4 mint plants on Saturday and they're all thriving. Can't recommend it enough.
We travel for work and this is one of our favorite farmers markets in the U.S. A strong community feel with more than 40 vendors right in the heart of downtown Davidson. There's live music every Saturday morning and often other events as well. There's always at least one food truck and sometimes a second one as well. The Pickled Peach frequently has window service with drinks, breakfast sandwiches and quiche. The Summit sells coffee and tea and helps round out the farmers market experience. This market is very popular and very busy every week. Lots of tables to enjoy your purchases and...
This is Davidson community at its best! Delicious baked goods, really fresh produce, live music, friendly neighbors, all kinds of interesting locally farmed or made food, even coffee. So blessed to live in such a vibrant community!!
