Farmers Market
Conover, North Carolina
Conover Farmers Market runs on Saturday mornings from May through August in Conover, giving the downtown core a short, focused seasonal market window rather than a year-round schedule. The vendor mix leans notably broad for a four-month market, with coffee trucks, produce growers, pork and egg farms, ice cream, and a long craft roster all appearing under the same market banner. One visitor summed up a practical advantage that shapes the experience as much as the shopping itself: parking was “abundant,” which matters for a stop built around quick Saturday morning errands and pickups.
The market’s lineup mixes staple farm shopping with ready-to-drink stops and a sizable handmade goods presence, so a visit can tilt toward grocery pickup, browsing for gifts, or both. Produce and eggs appear in several booths, while the craft side ranges from woodwork and metal art to wreaths, shirts, bags, and jewelry.
One visitor described leaving with zucchini, honey, a pretzel, and beef from 8:28 Farms even late in the market, a snapshot that suggests the selection can extend beyond the vendors named on the main roster. Another visitor highlighted homemade soaps, cheese, local goat products, and flower bouquets during a Saturday morning stop.
No dogs are allowed, a rule that may shape plans for anyone used to bringing a pet along on weekend market runs. Parking is described as plentiful, and a visitor review echoes that with a note that parking was abundant, so driving is straightforward even for a short stop. The market does not list restrooms, which is worth factoring into a longer downtown morning. Payment methods are clearly posted by the market, making it easier to plan purchases across produce, meats, drinks, and crafts without guessing at checkout options. The listed market phone number is 336-937-2048.
The market page states there is plenty of parking available.

What a great place to spend a Saturday morning. You can see the talent of Newton Conover displayed here. While you're there be sure to check out the homemade soaps and cheese the local goats provide. Also, pick up a great bouquet of flowers
