Farmers Market
Belmont, North Carolina
North Main St.’s empty lot is the setting for Belmont Farmers Market NC, a Friday market that brings farm food and handmade goods into a plainly defined downtown-style stop in Belmont. The mix listed here runs from vegetables, pork, beef, eggs, turkey, honey, and baked goods to bonsai trees, embroidery, woodworking, and jewelry, giving the market a shape that leans equally on food shopping and small-scale maker stalls. With no permanent facility named in the market details, the open-lot setup reads as straightforward and functional: arrive for the vendors, shop the essentials and extras, and head out with a bag that may hold produce, meat, sweets, and a nonfood find in the same visit.
Vegetables and proteins give this market a practical grocery backbone, while sweets, honey, and craft vendors widen the stop beyond a produce run. The roster is compact but varied, with several booths focused on a single specialty rather than broad general inventory.
No market-specific event programming is named alongside the vendor roster, and the broader event calendar tied to the area covers food and farming events generally rather than activities identified as part of this market. The clearest thread here is how an empty lot on North Main St. is used for a market that mixes farm staples with objects made by hand. On one table, that can mean vegetables from Daphine and Sons Farm or The Pennell Barn; on another, pork from Millers Meat and Produce, beef and eggs from Stowe Dairy Farms, or turkey from Bountiful Harvest. Then the lineup turns outward into goods that change the feel of the visit: embroidered items from Marilyns Embroidery, woodworking from Chris' Wood Design, bonsai trees from KS Bonsai Kreations, and handmade jewelry from Olivia's Forest. That combination gives the market a practical, low-frills identity built around named vendors and single-specialty booths rather than a long list of amenities.
No restrooms are listed for this market, and dogs are not allowed, two details that can change how long you plan to stay and who comes with you. The market meets on Fridays from 3pm to 7pm and runs seasonally through October, so this is an afternoon stop rather than an early-morning market trip. Payment methods are marked as clear, but no specific forms of payment are named in the market details. The site is identified simply as North Main St. (Empty Lot) in Belmont, which suggests an open-air setup without a permanent building attached to the listing. A phone contact is provided at (727) 244-4040 if you need a direct market number.

I am new to the area and looking for farmers markets to attend. This one is very small but has a very good variety of goods. I also love that it is in the park. While this style of market is not quiet what I was looking for, I was pleasantly surprised with the area.
