Farmers Market
Poughkeepsie, New York
Arlington Farmers Market sits within Arlington’s mission-driven district programming in Poughkeepsie, alongside other Arlington events and initiatives tied to the Arlington Business Improvement District. The market runs on the Vassar College Alumnae Lawn on Raymond Avenue, giving it a distinctly Arlington setting tied to one of the neighborhood’s best-known institutions. That combination of weekly market activity, college-adjacent location, and district event programming makes this market feel closely woven into the rhythm of Raymond Avenue rather than detached from it. If you’re planning a Thursday stop in the Arlington section of Poughkeepsie, this is a straightforward seasonal market with a specific place and schedule.
The Arlington Business Improvement District places the farmers market within a broader slate of Arlington events that also includes the Arlington Street Fair and Arlington Holiday Festival. That matters because the market is not presented as a one-off pop-up; it is part of how the district organizes public-facing activity in Arlington. Its location on the Vassar College Alumnae Lawn also ties the market to a recognizable Arlington landmark on Raymond Avenue, placing it directly in the district’s everyday landscape.
The organization around it is also notably collaborative. Arlington materials name partnerships with Vassar College and I Heart Media, alongside the Arlington Business Improvement District itself. Other Arlington partners include the Town of Poughkeepsie Town Board and county and state entities involved in district planning and development work. Together, those named relationships place the market inside a local civic framework rather than as a standalone retail event.
What stands out most here is the setting and the market’s role in Arlington’s event calendar, not a published roster of named farm vendors or product specialties. The market page emphasizes when it runs, where it is held, and how new vendors can apply for limited spaces.
Arlington also lists the market alongside the Arlington Street Fair and Arlington Holiday Festival in its events programming. The Holiday Festival includes local vendors, a parade, tree lighting, and an eggnog crawl on December 6 from 12pm to 5pm.
No dogs is the clearest visit policy to plan around, so shoppers arriving with pets will need to adjust before heading to the Vassar College Alumnae Lawn. The market is scheduled for Thursdays from 3:00pm to 7:00pm from May 29 through October 30, which makes it an afternoon and early-evening stop rather than a morning market. The address is 123 Raymond Avenue in Poughkeepsie, and the market location is described as the Vassar College Alumnae Lawn on Raymond Ave..
Restrooms are not listed as available in the visitor details, and no parking or transit guidance is provided in the market facts supplied here. Payment methods are indicated as clearly posted, which helps if you want to decide how to pay once you arrive. For vendors rather than shoppers, the market notes limited spaces and directs inquiries to Tonya.

I loved this market because of the fresh veggies, real peaches different varieties, plums, large and small cherries, red and yellow watermelon, okra, fresh flowers the cheapest I have ever found, and vendors with home made sweets, and spices. If you need some bling in your life, a young New Yorker has just what you are looking for.
I recommend Arlington Farmers Market. It is a perfect place to buy organic or close to organic food and products. Nothing is completely organic. We live in an toxic and artificial environment. This place is great to buy healthy food and quality products. The people and vendors are friendly. It is a friendly and peaceful environment.
So many great local businesses that have amazing items! Definitely worth a visit, it's seasonal, on Thursdays 2:00-6:30

Absolutely love shopping at this little Farmers market. 1857 Spirits was amazing.
