Farmers Market
Poughkeepsie, New York
123 Raymond Avenue in Poughkeepsie sets the scene for Arlington Farmers Market, a Thursday market that runs through the warmer part of the year rather than year-round. The schedule concentrates shopping into one late-afternoon window each week, giving this stop a distinctly after-work rhythm tied to Arlington’s neighborhood business district. Visitor accounts describe tables stacked with fresh vegetables, peaches in multiple varieties, plums, cherries, red and yellow watermelon, okra, fresh flowers, homemade sweets, spices, and even jewelry, which points to a mix that stretches beyond produce without losing its food focus. Another visitor specifically called out organic or close-to-organic food and products, along with friendly vendors and a peaceful atmosphere.
Fresh produce stands appear to anchor the experience here, but shopper descriptions also point to flowers, pantry items, sweets, and small nonfood finds mixed into the lineup. The clearest picture comes from repeatable product details visitors remembered by name rather than broad category labels.
Beyond the regular market season, Arlington’s calendar also includes a 2025 holiday festival on December 6th and separately listed Arlington holiday festival and Arlington street fair events.
No dogs are allowed, a rule likely to affect plans before you leave home with a pet. Restrooms are also marked unavailable, so shorter shopping stops may be easier to manage, especially within the market’s four-hour Thursday window. The season runs from May 29th, 2025, through October 30th, 2025, which makes this a warm-season market rather than a year-round errand stop. Payment information is presented clearly, even though specific methods are not listed here, so shoppers can expect posted guidance onsite rather than uncertainty at checkout. Reviews suggest the product mix can include a broad spread of produce alongside flowers, sweets, spices, and handmade goods, making it practical to shop for dinner ingredients and a few extras in the same visit. One visitor also described the atmosphere as friendly and peaceful.

I loved this market because of the fresh veggies, real peaches different varieties, plums, large and small cherries, red and yellow watermelon, okra, fresh flowers the cheapest I have ever found, and vendors with home made sweets, and spices. If you need some bling in your life, a young New Yorker has just what you are looking for.
I recommend Arlington Farmers Market. It is a perfect place to buy organic or close to organic food and products. Nothing is completely organic. We live in an toxic and artificial environment. This place is great to buy healthy food and quality products. The people and vendors are friendly. It is a friendly and peaceful environment.
So many great local businesses that have amazing items! Definitely worth a visit, it's seasonal, on Thursdays 2:00-6:30
