Farmers Market
Manhattan, New York
Harvest Home Bellevue Farmer's Market sits within Harvest Home’s broader mission-driven network, a setup that frames this Manhattan stop as part of an organization with named programs, a board of directors, annual reports, and market-focused work rather than as a standalone pop-up. The market runs at 27th Street between 1st Avenue and St. Carmel Place, placing it on an East Side block that is distinct from Harvest Home’s other Manhattan market locations at E. 97th Street and 2nd Avenue, East 104th Street and 3rd Avenue, and 8 West 126th Street. Harvest Home is also actively recruiting New York State farmers who grow and harvest their own fruits and vegetables for its market season, which underscores the farm-direct emphasis behind this site.
Harvest Home’s Manhattan footprint includes markets on the Upper East Side, East Harlem, Harlem, and this Bellevue location, giving the organization a repeated presence across multiple neighborhoods rather than a single weekly stop. That matters here because the Bellevue market is tied to an operator whose work is connected to statewide farm and food institutions, including the Farmers’ Market Federation of New York, the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service. Harvest Home is also accepting applications from New York State farmers who grow and harvest their own fruits and vegetables, a direct statement that links the market season to in-state agricultural producers. Alongside farmers, the organization is accepting seasonal applications from bakers, bread and pastry makers, jam and preserves producers, mushroom vendors, fresh juice vendors, and natural and handmade goods artisans.
No dogs are allowed, a rule that may shape how you plan a weekday stop on this block. The market operates on Thursdays and Fridays from 8am to 3pm during the May-to-November season, so this is a daytime market built around weekday shopping rather than a weekend routine. Restrooms are not available on-site, another practical detail worth factoring into a longer visit. Payment methods are not clearly stated, and no parking, transit, accessibility, rain-policy, or sellout guidance is specified here, so the clearest planning facts are the schedule, the no-dogs rule, and the lack of restrooms. If you want a sense of the broader organization behind the Bellevue market, Harvest Home also works with groups such as the Institute of Culinary Education, the Regional Farm and Food Project, and the New York Farm Bureau.
Market may be canceled in harsh weather conditions. All forms of payment accepted. Cooking demonstrations are listed as closed for the season for the Manhattan markets shown.

UPDATE: NO MARKET HERE. This used to be the market at Lenox and 117th. Great produce! I get almost all of my fruits and veggies here now. There is a collection point for old clothing as well.
