Larchmont's Down to Earth Farmers Market is part of the same broader market network that partners with The Old Stone House, linking this Saturday stop in Larchmont to a larger Down to Earth Markets footprint in the region. In Larchmont, the market sets up in the parking lot off Chatsworth Ave near Metro North and Larchmont Market, giving it a distinctly commuter-edge location rather than a town-green setting. The market is also tied to the Village of Larchmont as a named partner, which places it squarely within village-backed local activity rather than as a standalone pop-up. That combination of station-area access, village partnership, and inclusion in the Down to Earth system gives this market a clear civic and practical identity.
The Village of Larchmont is listed as a partner for this market, a concrete sign that the market operates with an official local relationship rather than simply renting space in town. Its placement by Metro North, Chatsworth Ave, and Myrtle Blvd also gives the market a role that fits everyday village movement patterns, especially for shoppers already circulating through the station area and nearby commercial blocks. Down to Earth Markets also frames participation around a mission and requirements for vendors, and its vendor guidance says primary products must meet the standards described in that mission while resale items need pre-approval and may be limited to specific markets. That structure matters locally because it points to oversight in what can be sold at the Larchmont market, not just an open-format stall lineup. The market’s local importance is practical: village partnership, station-area placement, and producer standards all shape how it operates in Larchmont.
Parking is routed through the Metro North upper lot off Chatsworth Ave, with entry via Myrtle Blvd, so the approach matters if you are driving instead of arriving on foot. The market location is the parking lot off Chatsworth Ave, which places it in a paved, transit-adjacent setting rather than inside a park or closed street footprint. Dogs are welcome at Down to Earth Farmers Markets, and that policy applies here within the same market organization. Restrooms are not available, an important detail to factor into a longer morning outing with kids or after-train errands. Saturdays run from 8:30AM to 1:00PM, so this is a focused half-day market window rather than an all-day shopping schedule. Down to Earth Markets also notes that non-vendor participation such as information tables, fundraisers, and other non-commercial activity goes through a separate market activity inquiry form, which helps explain how organized activity around the market is managed.
Dogs are welcome as long as they do not detract from the goal of providing a safe, pleasant, sociable and welcoming experience for all attendees; rules are referenced but not included in the scraped text.

03/30/24 0830 Down to Earth Markets is great because they have many markets you can attend locally over a Friday through Sunday depending on where you live. I was particularly happy with my visit to Doc Pickle today at the Larchmont location. Tom was an excellent salesperson. The market itself is well organized and conveniently located close to the Metro-North station off of Chatsworth Avenue.
There are two farmers that sell grass fed beef and pasture raised pork and lamb. There is also a few vegetable booths that sell seasonal vegetables. Get there early if you want fish because the fishmonger brings in wild caught popular fish that sells out by 11am.
A great farmers market in an easy to access location. I have loved being both a vendor and shopper at this market. There is plenty of free parking right next to the market and everyone is very friendly. There is a really good selection of local and organic foods. Plus a wide variety of goods and products to choose from, so everyone can find something they enjoy. Overall a great family or independent activity and yet another chance to buy local and support small businesses.
Wow! Packed with great vendors! Good times! Busy with lots of customers! Families, children, great food, with local #WestminsterDogShow strolling by. Of note: it's in a parking lot for Larchmont train station which means it's all on asphalt. Bring lots of water, stay hydrated; it gets hot. Remember your bags for purchases. & Stop by to see me at #noblepies ! Nous parlons francais. Wir sprechen deutsch. Yo habla espanol. Ik kann auch nederlands pratt. (Not sure about my spelling 😅)
Highly recommend- Excellent quality, friendly & passionate vendors, great vibes. We love that this is right in the neighborhood, everything from produce, dessert, & jewelry.
