Farmers Market
Buffalo, New York
At 999 Broadway St. in Buffalo’s historic Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood, The Broadway Market runs as a seasonal market centered on an indoor mix of food vendors, specialty counters, and services. The market is currently accepting applications for its 2025–2026 season, reinforcing its October-to-April cycle rather than a short summer run. Inside, the lineup stretches well beyond produce stands alone: seafood, meats, pierogi, bagels, sweets, prepared foods, hats, soaps, jewelry, banking, and an optician all appear in the current roster. That breadth makes this market feel closer to a year-established public market hall with a seasonal operating window than a once-a-week curbside setup.
The strongest pattern here is a food-first indoor lineup with old-school market staples alongside prepared foods and a smaller set of gift, personal care, and service businesses. Several vendors keep weekday hours, while others concentrate on Saturdays, so the mix can feel different depending on when you go.
The event calendar also includes marketwide programming. A listed Happy Mother’s Day event runs throughout the market from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and adds pop-up vendors such as East Aurora Brewery, Glass with Class, Second Chapter Bookstore, and more alongside regular merchants.
The parking setup is the detail most likely to shape your visit. The Broadway Market has a three-level parking ramp with entrances on Gibson and Lombard Streets, but there is no elevator; the second level reaches the market by escalator, and the third level is staircase access only. No strollers, walkers, or wheelchairs are allowed on the escalator, and handicap parking is available only on the first level. Street parking rules are specific too: Gibson Street on the east side has no parking, Lombard Street on the west side has two-hour parking plus some handicapped spaces near M&T, and loading is limited to the area in front of Broadway Optician on Broadway. The market also states no dogs and no restrooms.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at The Broadway Market. The market also has clear payment information on site and includes an M & T Bank branch inside the building, which can be useful if you want cash access while shopping among vendors with different sales setups.
Parking ramp details include no elevator, escalator access on the second level, staircase-only access from the third level, and restrictions on strollers/walkers/wheelchairs on the escalator. Handicap parking is available on the first level only; the market does not have wheelchairs, scooters, and/or walkers available for use.

I used to go with my mom and dad to the market. Mom would treat me to breakfast and then do.our shopping for eggs, chicken, bread and polish sausage, etc. Now 60 yrs later I now make that same pilgrimage to.the Market and do the same shopping.
Broadway Market is the home of Jett’s Bagels! It’s a historic market with a great future: this video is of a Polish band playing Johnny Cash in January ’26, and all February ‘26 they will feature local Black bands for Black History Month. I love this place! 😍
Many stands closed, but we were there mid-week, always more vendors on the weekend. Two butcher shops, nuts stand, and fresh produce stand. There is a pierogi shop and cafe for fresh made food.
They need more vendors here that are of interest to get business all year round. They barely have fresh fruit and vegetables.the building can use an update into a more modern market!
I started going there back in the early 1960's when it was called Pearson's. My mom was a waitress there. I still love the food and atmosphere in the Broadway Market. Lots of great memories.
