Winter Market
Rollinsford, New Hampshire
Seacoast Eat Local Winter Farmers' Market at Wentworth Greenhouses pairs a cold-season shopping stop in Rollinsford with the work of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on connecting producers and consumers, along with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive. That mission gives this market a clearer frame than a simple retail stop: it sits inside Seacoast Eat Local’s broader effort to cultivate a resilient, equitable, and community-centered local food system. The Wentworth Greenhouses location also grounds the market in a named local place at 141 Rollins Road, making it a specific winter destination rather than a generic seasonal pop-up.
Wentworth Greenhouses hosts the winter market during the November-through-March stretch, extending Seacoast Eat Local’s market work into months when many outdoor markets are closed. The organizing group describes its role in direct terms: it cultivates a resilient, equitable, and community-centered local food system through markets, education, and collaboration. That local frame matters here because the market is part of a nonprofit effort built to connect producers and consumers to each other and to practical resources, not just to facilitate a single weekly transaction.
The surrounding network is also concrete. Seacoast Eat Local lists partnerships with Granite State Market Match, Vouchers for Veterans, the NH Food Bank, and the New Hampshire Farmers’ Market Association, showing that the market operates within a broader food-access and market-support ecosystem in New Hampshire.
This market’s public materials emphasize the organization behind it more than a published vendor roster, so what stands out most is the structure supporting participation. Seacoast Eat Local actively recruits vendors for its farmers' markets and notes a formal intake process for new sellers, with 200 to 300 vendor inquiries each year and additional jury requirements for craft vendors.
The same calendar that frames the market’s nonprofit mission also lists Seacoast Eat Local fundraiser events at OTTO in Portsmouth on June 29 and OTTO in Dover on July 20, showing that the market organization stays active beyond market day itself.
No dogs is the clearest rule to plan around at the Rollinsford market, so visitors bringing pets will need to adjust before arriving. Parking is available for free at both locations, and the Rollinsford site adds a shuttle, which can shape how you time arrival and how much you want to carry back to the car. Restrooms are available on site, another practical detail that makes longer winter shopping trips easier to manage.
The location itself is Wentworth Greenhouses at 141 Rollins Road in Rollinsford, a named destination rather than a downtown street closure. Seacoast Eat Local also runs another market location at Exeter High School, so heading specifically to Wentworth Greenhouses matters when mapping your trip.
SNAP is accepted at Seacoast Eat Local markets, and the organization also lists Granite State Market Match and Vouchers for Veterans among its partners, pointing to a stronger food-access setup than cash-only shopping. Payment methods are presented clearly for visitors, which helps make winter market trips more straightforward to plan.
Parking is available for free at both locations, and a shuttle is available for the Rollinsford location.
No pets allowed in the market area (service animals welcome). The market is usually busiest from 10-12; customers are encouraged to check social media for cancellation information due to weather. Bathroom or port-a-potty is available at both locations.

What a glorious place! The staff is absolutely incredible. The gal working the indoor plant section on Sundays is a gem of a human, she is so kind and offers great advice. She helped me twice with new plants for my new business. The cashiers are so friendly and funny. The prices are fantastic and the selection is enormous. Thank you for a wonderful business.
I just went to wentworth greenhouses today and on my gosh they’re huge with a huge variety of many plants from annuals to trees! This place is crazy I love it! Everybody was also so nice! I highly recommend this place if you’re ever in the area!
If I could give them 10 stars I would. This is my favorite plant shop and I am sure everyone else's too. They were super helpful yesterday when I wasn't sure about certain flowers going in certain areas of our house. I'm a flower newbie. They also have beautiful assorted daily bouquets from Mellow Botanical when you walk in that are absolutely beyond perfection!
Fall decorating made easy. Even without making a purchase, visiting this greenhouse is so relaxing and rejuvenating to be surrounded by beautiful lush growing plants. The helpful staff are wonderful as well.
I love their products. This time of year everyone and their friends turn out to get their gardens launched. I was buying just one item and had to wait 20 minutes going through checkout. It would be nice if they could have a lane for like, 10 items por less.
