Farmers Market
Northwood, New Hampshire
The Northwood Area Farmers Market gathers in the parking lot of Hunky Dunk Farm & Keepin It Local Market, giving this market a clear local anchor rather than a town-green setup. In Northwood, that placement matters because the market has also been described in relation to the Corner of Routes 4 and 202/9 and as no longer being on the corner of Rte 4/202, so the Hunky Dunk location is the detail to keep in mind when planning a visit. The market runs on a weekly seasonal schedule in the warmer months, creating a focused window for shopping fresh farm goods and prepared items from a small roster of named vendors.
Hunky Dunk Farm & Keepin It Local Market does more than host the market; its parking lot is identified as the place where the Northwood Farmers Market is held, tying the weekly market directly to an existing local food stop in town. The vendor list itself is rooted in area farm and food businesses, with names such as Moose Mountain Farm, Cracked An Egg Farm, Old Family Farm, The Root Seller, and The Yankee Cheeseman appearing as part of the market mix.
That local role also shows up in the market's seasonal return. One event posting marks the market's comeback on May 14th for its 8th season, while another notes a weekly run through Labor Day, suggesting a recurring place in Northwood's warm-weather shopping rhythm rather than a one-off event.
The vendor mix here reads like a compact roll call of farms, cheesemakers, bakers, and individual sellers rather than a long catalog, which can make it easier to shop by name if you've been following the market over the season. One vendor description is especially detailed: Moose Mountain Farm brings a broad spread that reaches from dairy to meat, eggs, produce, syrup, honey, and baked goods.
The market's own event trail shows that the schedule has shifted in different seasons, including a first market after a move from Thursdays to Tuesdays and later Thursday openings in May, so longtime shoppers may recognize the market as one that has adapted over time.
No dogs are allowed, which is the clearest rule likely to change how some shoppers plan the trip. Parking is straightforward: the market uses the Hunky Dunk Farm & Keepin It Local Market parking lot, with plenty of parking and easy in/out access called out as part of the visit details. Restrooms are not available, another detail worth factoring into a late-afternoon stop.
Location history is also useful here. The market has been described as no longer being on the corner of Rte 4/202, and older event language places it at the Corner of Routes 4 and 202/9, so head to Hunky Dunk Farm & Keepin It Local Market rather than relying on an older mental map.

I bave picked up two orders from the Heritage Market. The service is more than I could ever have expected. Erin was kind and helpful. The meats are amazing. We purchased hamburg, steaks, chicken, pork, and sausage. The meats were packaged with care, the cuts of meat were beautiful and everything was delicious! Heritage Market will be our place to purchase our meats from now on
Love this market. They have everything you need. Homemade cookies, sandwiches, salads, etc. Fresh meats, vegetables and much more. Their cookies are delicious and the sandwiches are made fresh, also delicious. However, they use that mayo that is used in grocery stores in their pasta and potato salads. Not my favorite.
Great place to stop for breakfast, lunch, or on your way home! They have a great meat counter and ready to eat food as well. I got a delicious tortellini salad and spinach and artichoke dip to take home after a busy Sunday morning. Perfect place to stop by and a wonderful small town welcoming feel.
The best subs in town. I’m so glad someone knows the beer I’m looking for. The meat and chicken is fresh for your grill. I just wish you were open latter. All in All great place nice people..
Great local market! The meats are really good and they have pretty good grab-n-go options. Customer service is always outstanding 😁
