Farmers Market
Northwood, New Hampshire
The Northwood Area Farmers Market runs on Thursday afternoons from May through September, giving Northwood a fixed weekly window for shopping during the growing season. The market’s vendor roster points to a mix built around farm staples rather than a narrow specialty lineup, with dairy, meats, eggs, maple syrup, produce, baked goods, and prepared-food makers all represented. For the 2015 market season, it was set in the parking lot of Hunky Dunk Farm & Keepin It Local Market, a practical setup with easy in-and-out access and room to park without much fuss.
Moose Mountain Farm gives the clearest picture of the market’s food mix: one farm alone lists milk, yogurt, butter, cheese, starter plants, seasonal vegetables, free range chicken, forest fed pork, pastured turkey, ground beef, maple syrup, eggs, local honey, all natural care products, and baked goods. Around that anchor, the vendor list suggests a market where shoppers can piece together a broad grocery run from individual specialists and small producers rather than relying on a single category alone.
Even with sparse vendor descriptions beyond Moose Mountain Farm, the names alone show a market that leans toward farm food and handcrafted goods rather than a produce-only stand cluster. That makes it useful for shoppers looking to combine pantry staples, proteins, and a few smaller specialty purchases in one Thursday stop.
No dogs are allowed, which is the clearest visit rule to plan around before heading over. For the 2015 market season, shoppers used the parking lot at Hunky Dunk Farm & Keepin It Local Market, where the setup offered plenty of parking and easy in-and-out access, so driving was straightforward once you arrived.
The market day is Thursday, 3:00 to 6:30 p.m., a late-afternoon schedule that fits errands after the workday more than an early-morning produce run. Restrooms were not available in the listed visit details. Payment methods were not clearly posted in the market’s visit details, so plan purchases with flexibility in mind. Because the season runs from May through September, this is a warm-month market rather than a year-round stop.
2015 location is described as having plenty of parking and easy in/out access at Hunky Dunk Farm & Keepin It Local Market.

I bave picked up two orders from the Heritage Market. The service is more than I could ever have expected. Erin was kind and helpful. The meats are amazing. We purchased hamburg, steaks, chicken, pork, and sausage. The meats were packaged with care, the cuts of meat were beautiful and everything was delicious! Heritage Market will be our place to purchase our meats from now on
Love this market. They have everything you need. Homemade cookies, sandwiches, salads, etc. Fresh meats, vegetables and much more. Their cookies are delicious and the sandwiches are made fresh, also delicious. However, they use that mayo that is used in grocery stores in their pasta and potato salads. Not my favorite.
Great place to stop for breakfast, lunch, or on your way home! They have a great meat counter and ready to eat food as well. I got a delicious tortellini salad and spinach and artichoke dip to take home after a busy Sunday morning. Perfect place to stop by and a wonderful small town welcoming feel.
The best subs in town. I’m so glad someone knows the beer I’m looking for. The meat and chicken is fresh for your grill. I just wish you were open latter. All in All great place nice people..
Great local market! The meats are really good and they have pretty good grab-n-go options. Customer service is always outstanding 😁
