Farmers Market
Sparks, Nevada
39 North Marketplace sits in downtown Sparks’ Victorian Square, where 39 North Downtown also builds partnerships like its Secret Sparks program with Yelp and organizes a broader calendar of public events. That setting gives this market a distinctly downtown frame rather than a parking-lot setup, with the marketplace tied to the same district that hosts the Sparks Art Walk and seasonal programs under the 39 North banner. The result is a market experience shaped as much by Victorian Avenue and the surrounding civic district as by a standalone shopping trip.
39 North Downtown describes its mission as connecting community and businesses through common ground, with the goal of strengthening Sparks for the future. That mission matters here because the marketplace operates inside a larger downtown effort that links events, business promotion, and public gathering spaces in Victorian Square.
The same organization behind the marketplace also supports recurring public programming, including 3rd Thursday activities and the Sparks Art Walk, a self-guided art installation spread throughout Victorian Square with guided tours every third Thursday. Its partnerships also reach into local institutions, including the City of Sparks, Sierra Arts Foundation, and Sparks Heritage Museum through the Victorian Square Temporary Art Program. In practice, that places the market inside a downtown network that is meant to connect businesses, arts groups, and public life in Sparks.
The clearest draw here is its connection to the larger Victorian Square event district rather than a published roster of farm vendors or prepared-food stalls. Around the marketplace, 39 North Downtown’s public programming points to an arts-and-events mix that can shape what a visit feels like in this stretch of Sparks.
The seasonal event calendar expands the downtown mix beyond shopping alone, especially during December’s 39 North Pole Village with twinkling lights, a heated vendor tent, and a Hot Chocolate Cottage playland.
No dogs is the clearest planning detail for a visit to 39 North Marketplace in Victorian Square. Parking is easier to map out in advance because downtown Sparks lists several free options nearby: Galaxy Theater Parking Garage at 1130 Ave Of The Oaks, Great Basin Brewery at 846 Victorian Ave, Sparks Heritage Museum at 829 C Street, and Nugget Casino Resort at 1100 Nugget Ave.
The market is on Downtown Sparks Victorian Ave within Victorian Square, so it helps to approach it as a downtown walking stop rather than an isolated roadside market. Restrooms are not listed among visitor amenities. Payment methods are indicated as clear, but no SNAP or EBT details are provided here. If you want to pair a market visit with nearby arts stops, the district also includes the Depot Gallery and the Glendale schoolhouse as part of the broader Victorian Square setting.
Sparks Art Walk includes self-guided QR-code installations and a guided tour every 3rd Thursday; free parking locations are listed on the Art Walk page.

Every year, on Labor’s day weekend, Nugget Casino organize the Rib Cook Off in Sparks at Victorian Square. There is no admission fee and the parking is free. Great ride and games for little kids are available and also candy, ice cream, shave ice, lemonade. Beers and wine testing for adults. Pets and non-service animals are not permitted on Victorian Square.
They did an amazing job with down town sparks from my childhood to now it's come a long way I truly thought sparks was done when they lost the silver club but look at it now
Best place in Reno to have a great time. You can find movie theater, wineries, restaurants, casino and many annual events!
Great well kept place. I love the street even when there’s nothing going on but the events are super nice as well :)
The only problem I have is there aren't more businesses that location.
