Farmers Market
Missoula, Montana
265
Clark Fork Market runs in Missoula from May through October and brings together a notably large roster of 265 vendors across its indoor and outdoor seasons. The market is rooted in a strict regional standard: products sold there must be grown or raised in Montana west of the Continental Divide, with exceptions for prepared foods, baked goods, and coffee. That rule gives the market a distinctly western Montana footprint rather than a general craft-fair mix. SNAP/EBT is accepted, and the market’s own reporting also points to strong participation in WIC service and food donation efforts.
The clearest throughline here is local agricultural sourcing. Clark Fork Market requires vendors’ products to be grown or raised in Montana west of the Continental Divide, while also making room for prepared foods, baked goods, and coffee, so the mix spans farm goods and ready-to-eat market fare under one set of rules.
The market’s scale matters here because it suggests more than a small handful of booths: the vendor count covers both indoor and outdoor seasons, giving Clark Fork Market a broad bench of sellers over the course of the year. The rules also make the shopping experience more legible. Agricultural goods are tied to a specific Montana region, while prepared foods, baked goods, and coffee widen what you can actually eat and drink on site.
No dogs is the policy, which is the detail most likely to change how you plan a Saturday outing. The market takes place at 225 South Pattee Street in the Riverside Parking Lot, so you’re heading to an outdoor downtown lot rather than an enclosed hall. If you need restrooms, plan ahead: restrooms are not available on site. Clark Fork Market also uses a formal vendor application and waitlist process for the outdoor season, and reserved vendor spots for that season were sold out in the cited vendor materials, which signals a structured, high-demand setup rather than a casual drop-in market for sellers.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Clark Fork Market. The market also reports serving 403 families through WIC and donating more than 9,700 pounds of food to the Missoula Food Bank, which points to a food-access program that extends beyond standard point-of-sale transactions. Payment methods are presented clearly for visitors planning purchases.
No dogs or pets are allowed; service dogs are permitted. The market references CDC and Missoula Health Department COVID-19 safety guidelines via posted advisories.

This event each weekend is so much fun. Expect to drop some cash if you want anything. However, I love open markets and this one is so fun. Live music, great hot food, watching the surfers, and a giant lemonade. Lots'a fun.
Awesome variety of veggies, small farm meats, healthy options, small craft items (soaps, floral arrangements) & food vendors. Closes at 1PM, but vendors have to be packed up and loading by then. Early = Awesome waffles & coffee Late = Some vendors being sold out of their goodies The Carousel & Caras park are right there, so it can get crazy busy on nice days.
Love, love, love the Clark Fork Market! I'm definitely missing some of my favorite vendors this year, but was still able to get lots of goodies. Three Kombucha stands, veggies galore, plants, yummy sauces and salsa, food, coffee, even a little bar there!
Such a wonderful array of produce, baked goods, coffee, and crafts. I love seeing how the community comes together to create a really special market for fresh and local items.
This is the best Farmers' Market I have found. It has plenty of vendors and large crowds of shoppers. Large variety of produce, meat, prepared food to eat as you shop, music, ice cream.
