Farmers Market
Columbia, Missouri
Columbia Farmers Market is built around a stated mission to provide space for its community of growers, makers, and shoppers, and that mission comes through in how the market is organized. The market runs at the MU Health Care Pavilion at 1769 W Ash Street in Columbia, placing it within Columbia’s Agriculture Park and giving shoppers a fixed, named destination rather than a rotating pop-up setup. It is also a producer-only market, with rules requiring that products sold there be grown, raised, or produced by the vendors themselves, a detail that shapes the experience from stall to stall.
The vendor roster points to a market with a broad producer base: farms, a farmstead, an apiary and honey ice cream business, a bakery, a turmeric vendor, and a studio all appear in the lineup. Because the market is producer-only, those names matter; the mix is defined by individual operations rather than anonymous resale booths.
The market calendar also adds more than shopping. Market-day programming includes Music at Columbia Farmers Market, with scheduled performers in separate time blocks, and the calendar also lists events such as an Arbor Day Tree Giveaway at the market site.
Parking is the detail most likely to shape your visit here. The market notes that parking at Columbia’s Agriculture Park can be a challenge, and it directs drivers to designated Farmers Market parking areas near the site, the West Middle School lot off Clinkscales, and the Aslin CPS Administration Building lot off Worley Street, where a short gravel walking trail leads toward the MU Health Care Pavilion. The market also asks visitors not to use areas reserved for ARC customers. On-street parking is available on surrounding streets, with more options south of Ash Street, and crossing West Ash Street requires caution. Bike parking is available north and east of the pavilion at bike racks, and the market’s visit guidance says no dogs.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Columbia Farmers Market, and the market highlights a matching program for SNAP/WIC-eligible families of up to $35 in market tokens every Saturday. The market also notes that some vendors can swipe credit cards, while all vendors accept cash and Columbia Farmers Market tokens.
Parking at Columbia’s Agriculture Park can be a challenge. Tips include reserving spots near the ARC entrance for ARC users, using parking lots at CPS Aslin building (enter from Worley) or West Middle School, and parking at the Shelter Insurance Claims Branch parking lot. On-street parking is available on many surrounding streets (south of Ash Street has more parking); cross West Ash Street with caution. Bike parking is available north and east of the MU Health Care Pavilion (use bike racks rather than light poles). Handicap parking is available south of the pavilion in the new park lot and east of the pavilion. A separate parking page also notes designated Farmers Market Parking areas near the market (shown on the map), West Middle School (entrance off of Clinkscales), and Aslin CPS Administration Building (off Worley Street) with a short gravel walking trail; it also advises not to park in the area designated for ARC customers.
Acceptable payment types include EBT/SNAP, checks, debit and credit cards at all markets; customers exchange credit/debit and EBT card swipes for tokens at the Oasis booth in the center of the market by the South Entrance. All vendors accept cash and CFM tokens. SNAP/WIC eligible families can match up to $35 every Saturday in market tokens (details provided in SNAP Matching Programs). The market prohibits non-service animals within market boundaries.

Beautiful fruits and vegetables! Honey, lavender, cheese and meat too. Live music and food trucks. A couple tables and chairs to sit at. A very nice way to spend Saturday morning.
I went for the first time after living here 3 years an I was amazed. I've been making sure I get rest the night before so I can stop at a new vendor every time I go on Saturday. The time is great. The food is great. It's a nice variety ☺️.
Love a farmer’s market and Columbia’s is one of the best ! Lots of parking and the vendors were so nice and welcoming. So many fresh flowers to choose from. Will be returning !
Farmers market is such a friendly market place. All sellers are so very nice and helpful! Love being outside with all the fresh food items and beautiful flowers to buy!!
We should go out here more often and try new foods! Got fresh sweet corn (better than the grocery store stuff, honest), orange tomatoes, Fretboard coffee and I tried a small meat-filled pastry. Get there early, it gets busy quickly. Appreciate how its grown in the years since we've lived here and future development plans.
