312 East Lyndale Avenue North is the winter home of the Minneapolis Farmers Market, with select Saturday markets running from December into April. The market traces its roots to 1876 and centers its mission on connecting local farmers and gardeners with Twin Cities residents over food, growing practices, and direct conversations with growers. That combination gives this market a distinct winter shape: a seasonal Saturday stop where long-running market history meets a practical cold-weather shopping routine.
The vendor mix spans locally grown produce, flowers, meats, baked goods, coffee, and prepared foods, with growers and producers coming from Minneapolis and nearby Minnesota towns as well as western Wisconsin. The range feels broad even in winter, from staple farm stalls to coffee and ready-to-eat vendors working the Lyndale market lineup.
Upcoming events are posted as Winter Market dates on select Saturdays, matching the seasonal market schedule through April.
No dogs are allowed at the market, a rule that can change how some visitors plan a Saturday trip. Parking also needs a little attention: visitors are asked not to park in vendor stalls on weekends because space is limited for sellers, especially during peak hours. This is a Saturday morning winter market at the Lyndale location, with select dates rather than an every-weekday schedule, so timing matters more here than at the market's larger warm-season operation. Restrooms are not available on-site. The market also notes clear payment options for purchases, which helps if you're planning to shop across several farm and prepared-food vendors in one visit.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at the Minneapolis Farmers Market. The market also indicates that payment methods are clearly communicated for shoppers, which is useful when you're mixing farm purchases with coffee, baked goods, and prepared foods across different vendors.
Dogs: only service animals are allowed. No smoking is allowed onsite. Parking: do not park in market vendors' stalls on weekends; use designated areas during peak hours.
