A little chilly, but still WORTH IT! October is the last month of Farmer's Market in Maplewood. GO get it while you can! Delicious Raw Honey, large selection of vegetables, beautiful flowers, and tasty selection of meat sticks. Wed 8 a.m. to Noon is not overly crowded. Very wise, thrifty place to use EBT/SNAP to buy market money and tokens!
I love going to the farmers market, it is so satisfying to know your helping out people with purchasing the product and everything is so fresh. Also you can use EBT. I also forgot to tell you there is a booth from Wisconsin and they have meats and bacon I couldn't believe the quality of the foods at this farmers market. You can make a gourmet meal with all the selections.
I can't say enough about my visit last week. They even have a SNAP Table at the North end if you want to spend $10 off your card to recieve $30 in purchasing power there! I purchased Berries and Veggies with an added surprise. There was a booth there that had **Gluten Free**, Sugar Free, Vegan, and other select cookies. I did buy a GF Cookie that was 'Slap Yo Mama' good !!
Lots of vendors, lots of fresh farm products, friendly vendors. The shoppers are mostly locals, an older crown, also friendly and sociable. We easily found the veggies were looking for, at nice prices. Best of all when we took our veggies home and made smoothies with some of it, discovered we held in our hands delicious elixirs for good health and beauty
Excellent farmers market, with a wide variety including breads, pork and flowers. Tomatoes are awesome now as are melons, enjoy fresh from the fields!
