Farmers Market
Flint, Michigan
50
At 300 East First St in Flint, Flint Farmers Market brings together a year-round public market that dates to 1905 and includes 50-plus vendors under one roof. The mix is broader than a produce stop: permanent vendors include produce sellers, a meat market, poultry, breads and baked goods, cheese, a wine shop, an art gallery, a cafe, Middle Eastern and Mexican groceries, and gift-oriented stalls. From May through October, the outdoor area adds about 25 more vendors focused on produce, flowers, and arts and crafts, giving the market a larger footprint during the warmer months.
The strongest draw here is the range packed into a single market visit: permanent indoor vendors cover fresh food staples, prepared-food stops, specialty groceries, and gift shopping, with seasonal outdoor sellers expanding the selection from May through October. That combination makes this market useful for a full grocery run as well as a shorter stop for a few specific items.
The market also books private events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, family reunions, and community events.
No dogs are allowed, which is one of the clearest planning details to know before heading over. The market has on-site parking, making it easier to pull in for a larger grocery trip or a quick stop during open days. Flint Farmers Market operates as a year-round public market, and its regular visitor schedule lists Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. During the warmer season, May through October brings additional outdoor vendors, so the market layout and selection expand beyond the permanent indoor group. For vendors using the pavilion, the market’s seasonal setup includes covered 10-by-36-foot stall tables with electricity available.
SNAP Bridge Card is accepted at Flint Farmers Market, and the market also notes Double Up Food Bucks, WIC, Project FRESH, Senior Project FRESH, and Head Start Coupons among the benefits that may be accepted by growers. Payment methods are presented clearly for visitors, which helps if SNAP access is part of the shopping plan.
On-site parking is available for convenient access to the market.
On-site parking is available; the market offers a vendor map, parking guide, and a Michigan produce availability chart. The market also has community spaces (Atrium, Ramsdell Room, Demonstration Kitchen, Rooftop Terrace, Conference Room) for events.

If you’re anywhere near Flint and you’re not hitting Flint Farmers’ Market, you’re missing out. Great variety of vendors, super fresh produce, awesome baked goods, and a real “community heartbeat” feel. It’s the kind of place where you end up chatting with people, learning what’s in season, and walking out with something you didn’t plan on… because it looked too good to ignore. Clean, lively, and consistently worth the trip.
One hundred percent check out the popcorn stand!! Amazing freshly popped popcorn. 3$ for the “small” (it’s really not small) and it’s SOO GOOD! Also everyone working there is super nice!! We stop by everytime we come to the farmers market!
So many places I rely. Spiced wind from the wine shoppe. Hot dog for lunch. Fresh veggies for the week. Scones from crust. A delightful lady selling flower bouquets. Unfortunately the pierogi lady is gone.
Love going to the farmers market. The candle/wax melt spot has the most amazing smelling candles. Little expensive but worth it. The chocolate spot near the doors in the back have great chocolate. Every time I go to the market I walk out with a couple bags lol
I could spend HOURS at thr Flint Farmer's Market. So much to see, and so many amazing food options. I had a hard time finding kombucha on my trip, but found it here 🙏
