Farmers Market
Buchanan, Michigan
112 Days Avenue sets Buchanan Farmer' Market just off Red Bud Trail and behind the district library, with the market area marked by a crescent cobblestone structure rather than a parking-lot row of tents. The market opens May 2, 2026 for its 21st year and runs through October 10 on Saturday mornings into early afternoon, a long-established seasonal rhythm for this small downtown site. Nearby landmarks give the visit a distinctly Buchanan frame: Pears Mill, the Tin Shop Theatre, McCoys Creek and Trail Start, the Common Area and Performance Stage, and the Buchanan Art Center up the hill on Front Street all sit close to the market grounds. Ashley Hanson returns as market master this season.
This is a market where the strongest descriptions come from the setting and from repeat mentions of fresh food brought directly into the downtown core. The vendor area sits behind the library near creekside and arts landmarks, and visitor notes point to produce, baked goods, flowers, meat, and youth selling days as part of the mix.
A visitor also noted seeing vendors year after year, which fits the market's 21st season and gives the Saturday setup a returning-cast feel without changing its small-site footprint.
No dogs are allowed, a detail that can change plans before you leave home. The market phone, 574-213-4774, is on 24/7 starting April 15, 2026, and the market invites calls or texts for vendor information, which is especially useful if you are trying to confirm who will be set up on a given Saturday. The market site is one block west of Red Bud Trail and one block south of Front Street, behind the district library, so library and downtown landmarks are more useful navigation cues than a broad highway-style approach. Restrooms are not available in the listed visit details. One visitor described the market as a place to get produce and connect with others, but the practical draw is that the market is concentrated in a compact downtown cluster near trails, arts venues, and the creek.

I love having this great farmer’s market here in Buchanan! It’s a great place to get produce you want, connect with others and see vendors year after year! The bake sales are great as well as the youth entrepreneur day sale!

Was visiting my sister from out of town. Walked to the farmers market and it was so nice. Very clean area, beautiful little area. Loved the farmers market and plan to go again next time we are in town
Such a lovely small town. And this is a great little market to check out, get a coffee, and then walk the streets checking out all the markets.
Very small, half of the stands are cheesy crafts and the other half is actual produce and food related items. Love that Woodstock is there with their amazing BBQ (with White sauce) and the Jelly lady is always there with a smile and is so funny and friendly. Bennett farms was new to me they had a nice selection of meats and they are locally-owned in Edwardsburg.
