Farmers Market
Truro, Massachusetts
The Truro Educational Farmers' Market runs on Mondays from morning through midday, set at Veterans Memorial Park at 20 Truro Center Road next to the Post Office. Shoppers browse fresh-picked fruits, vegetables, and herbs, along with local seafood and humanely-raised meats, plus breads and baked treats, tea and coffee, and plants and flowers. The market emphasizes education and community connection, including art and education tables created in part by children in Sustainable CAPE’s school gardening programs. Nutrition incentives are a key part of the experience, with SNAP doubling and other programs supported at the market’s info booth. Visitors are also encouraged to participate in the market’s kid-focused elements, including Fresh Kids Awards for Farmer-in-the-School students.
Parking guidance instructs visitors to stroll from the lot on South Pamet Road or on one side of the access roads; the adjacent lot across from the Cobb library is reserved for seniors. The Jams/Post Office lots should not be used to allow those lots to be reserved for patrons and deliveries.
Rain or shine. Nutrition incentives accepted include SNAP (with doubling up to $10/week), HIP reimbursements for fruits and vegetable purchases, WIC and Senior Discount Coupons (each with doubling up to $10/week), Project Gratitude ($10/week for veterans), and Fresh Kids Awards for Farmer-in-the-School students.

Nice selection of different vendors, not just fruits and vegetables but lots of locally produced goods such as bagels, lobster, coffee, and clothing. I would go to the farmers market again
Very cute market! It's super small so it's a quick stop, maybe a few dozen vendors. But they're there rain or shine! I expected more variety. I don't think I would be able to do my weekly produce shopping there like I would expect to, there did not seem to be enough vendors offering fresh items and of course, it could be the time of year too. I would have liked to see more local makers there, like artists or bakers. I felt like there were a lot of organizations which is fine but thats not necessarily what I go to the market for. I would go back though!
This Farmers Market always tends to be pretty good. I love locally grown produce and this market delivers. There usually a nice variety of venders and a beautifully eclectic range of products from fresh produce/flowers to crafts and more especially as the season progresses. The Everyone is friendly. Beware that parking maybe limited but fully worth that mild frustration. Even the location is pretty. I will remember to take photos next time.
This morning, I went to the Truro Farmers’ Market. It was a rainy morning and the farmer’s individual stalls were situated in a huge semi circle over a large field to insure that customers would feel safe as they shopped from the individual vendors. I was impressed with the selection of everything from locally baked breads , fresh produce and exceptional looking shiitake mushrooms! I’m sure that as the summer progresses, the farmers will have lots more produce and other homemade treats to sell!
Very small town feel which is what you should expect out in Truro. A relaxing community gathering with kids enjoying the open space and everyone enjoying the guitar and singing as people shop the market. This Monday at market was some meat, produce, flowers, fish, lobster, pasta and delicious pestos and bread. A little of everything.
