Farmers Market
Sandwich, Massachusetts
A Piece of Sandwich is among the sign sponsors tied to the Sandwich Farmers Market, a detail that places this Tuesday market within a web of Sandwich-based support rather than as a stand-alone shopping stop. The market runs in Sandwich from June 9 through October 13, with vendors gathering on Tuesdays and a mix that ranges from produce and pasture-raised meat to sourdough bread, Greek pantry goods, flowers, and local beer. Its stated purpose is straightforward: give farmers and vendors a place to come together around work made by neighbors for the community.
The market describes itself as a place where farmers and vendors “come together and celebrate good, hard, honest work,” with products created by the hands of neighbors for the community. That local framing shows up not only in the vendor roster but also in the sponsor list, which includes A Piece of Sandwich, the Sandwich Mothers' Club, and Purehaven Essentials through named supporters connected to the market.
The market also actively invites participation beyond shopping. Its materials call for volunteers during the summer market season on Tuesdays from mid June to mid October, and they welcome inquiries from local farmers or artisans interested in joining as vendors. That combination of sales, sponsorship, and volunteer roles gives the market a distinctly town-scale feel grounded in Sandwich itself.
Produce and pantry goods sit alongside plants, crafts, body care, and specialty drinks here, so a visit can look as much like a household restock as a fresh-food run. The range leans practical and specific, with vendors selling both farm staples and small-batch items that reflect the market's mixed farmer-and-artisan identity.
The Summer Market runs June 9 through October 13, and the market also lists volunteer opportunities on Tuesdays from mid June to mid October.
No dogs is the clearest visit rule to plan around. The market is listed at Oakcrest Cove Field, with a market location also given as 34 Quaker Meeting House Rd., so visitors should head for that field setting rather than expect an indoor site. The visitor facts place it at Route 6A Village Green, adding another location reference tied to the market in Sandwich.
Tuesdays are the shopping day during the summer season, and the market also posts volunteer opportunities on that same weekly schedule. Restrooms are not listed, and payment methods are presented clearly, which makes this a good market to approach with a short, focused stop in mind.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at the Sandwich Farmers Market. Oakdale Farms is specifically identified as SNAP certified among the vendors, giving shoppers at least one clearly marked produce option within the market lineup. Payment methods are noted as clear in the market's visitor details, which helps when planning purchases across both farm and artisan stalls.
Online ordering and pickup are offered with some vendors.
