Farmers Market
Rockville, Maryland
Rockville Farmers Market is run by the City of Rockville, Maryland, giving this market a direct civic anchor rather than an outside operator. The market sets up at Route 28 and Monroe Street, a central Rockville location with city-managed visitor logistics and a clear seasonal run from May through November. That combination makes the market feel closely tied to everyday city life instead of functioning as a standalone weekend event. The market also participates in Eat Fresh Rockville and the Maryland Market Money program, putting food access alongside routine shopping from the outset. For shoppers, that means a municipally backed market where planning details, parking rules, and payment support are all part of the visit.
Eat Fresh Rockville and Maryland Market Money are built into the Rockville Farmers Market experience, linking the market to local food access efforts rather than treating assistance programs as an add-on. SNAP/EBT is accepted at the market, and the Maryland Market Money tent is part of the on-site setup for shoppers using those benefits. That practical support matters in Rockville, a city that emphasizes resident-centric public service, environmental commitment, and neighborhood connection in its own civic description.
The market’s vendor standards also shape its local role. Rockville’s vendor program is open to growers, producers of specialty food and beverage items, and related services, while artisans such as soap and craft sellers are excluded. That keeps the market centered on food and farm-linked commerce. The market is also currently at capacity for vendors, a sign of sustained demand for this specific outlet in the city’s local food system.
Free parking is in the Montgomery County Parking Garage on Monroe St., and there is no parking within the Farmers Market lot. Accessible parking is located in the Monroe Street lot, while parking is not permitted at 200 Monroe St., so drivers should head to the approved garage or designated accessible spaces instead of relying on the lot beside the market. If you are approaching from major roads, the city’s directions reference Rockville Pike and E. Jefferson St. as route points for getting there.
Two other logistics can change a visit: dogs are not allowed, and restrooms are not available on site. Shoppers planning to use SNAP/EBT or Maryland Market Money should look for the Market Information/Maryland Market Money tent once they arrive. Rockville Station is also identified in the market’s visitor landmarks, which helps orient anyone arriving through the downtown transit area.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Rockville Farmers Market, and the market’s food-access setup includes both Eat Fresh Rockville and Maryland Market Money. The Market Information/Maryland Market Money tent is the key on-site stop for shoppers using those benefits. The market also notes that payment methods are clearly identified, which helps shoppers sort out purchases vendor by vendor once they start browsing.
Free parking is available in the Montgomery County Parking Garage on Monroe St. Accessible parking is located in the Monroe Street lot. There is no parking within the Farmers Market lot. Parking is not permitted on the parking lot at 200 Monroe St.
Market Information/Maryland Market Money tent is open from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. each Saturday (for SNAP/EBT and FMNP-WIC token assistance).

Great little farmers market with everything you need and more. Plenty of the usual market goods and a lot of unique finds. Also, a couple of food trucks for ready made bites, smoothies and coffee. My go-to is usually DC Dills for wasabi pickles and chive cheese from the tent that does the milk, kefir and yogurt. (Can't remember the name).
Always love going here on Saturday mornings. Now the smoothie/juice truck mama is there which is great but they run out of things so some things may not be available all the time. Also love panateca so good. I try to support the smaller farmers when buying my fruit and veggies. Scored some white Rainer cherries this time around too
Great place for produce and community. Rockville Farmers Market brings in all the regions best farms. Lines are long mid morning, so go early for the best items. Favorite place to start my Saturdays.
Rockville's own Farmer's Market, in the Juror Parking Lot, has been around for many years and offers quite a variety of fresh organic foods from local growers. I've picked up all kinds of goodies: meats, peppers, honey, even pickles. There's even a mushroom lady. Fall season ushers in lots of apples, squash, & gourds of every description. Come supplement your grocery list with some great stuff. Skip the Garage & park in the City Lot on the left.
The Rockville Farmers' Market is a great place to buy locally grown fruits and vegetables. The fall is an especially good time to go for apples and pears direct from the orchard. There are also booths for local craft breweries and distilleries.
