Crofton Farmers Market pairs a sizable Saturday market with oversight from the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, which inspects and licenses mobile food service units connected to the market. Set at the Crofton Library, the market enters its 11th year with more than 50 confirmed vendors and a mix that ranges from produce and meats to flowers, specialty foods, collectibles, and crafts. That combination gives the market a broad footprint in one stop: groceries, prepared-food vendors, and artisan tables share the same weekly run at the library site.
More than 50 confirmed vendors makes this a large weekly outlet for sellers in and around Anne Arundel County, and the market frames that scale around local food and local makers rather than a single narrow category. Its stated mix includes local, fresh produce, meats, dairy, eggs, breads, and specialty foods, alongside products from local artisans and craftspeople meant for health and home.
The Crofton Library hosts the market, giving Crofton a recurring Saturday market anchored to a civic landmark rather than a temporary pop-up site. The season itself is substantial, running from May 10, 2025 through November 1, 2025, which gives shoppers a consistent stretch of Saturday access during the main growing and outdoor market months.
The market emphasizes breadth more than a single signature category. Food staples and artisan goods share the same footprint, and the market also notes that some farmers are 100% certified organic growers.
The current season begins May 10, 2025 and runs through November 1, 2025 as a Saturday market at the library.
No dogs are allowed, which is one of the clearest visit rules to plan around before heading to the market. Parking logistics also shape the trip: overflow parking is available at Community United Methodist Church across the street, police assist with vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and the library parking lot runs one-way in from Riedel Road with all traffic exiting onto Aberdeen Drive.
The market takes place at the Crofton Library at 1691 Crofton Parkway, with Saturday hours running weather permitting during the season. Payment methods are presented clearly by the market, though no SNAP/EBT detail is listed here. For market questions, the listed contacts are Chad Houck and Jennie Barnacz.

One of the best farmers market and I love that they have winter hours. Check the schedule, before you venture out, to make certain your favorite vendor is there that day.
My dog and I absolutely love the Crofton Farmers Market. She is quite the social butterfly and goes for the attention and dog treat vendors. I go for the soaps, candles, and sweets! There is something for everyone of all ages!
I really enjoyed the Crofton farmers market. The vendors were very helpful and there were plenty of fruits and vegetables to purchase. Next time I’m gonna try the micro greens.
Finally, I made it to the Crofton farmers market. I enjoyed browsing the vendors. There are also a couple of great food vendors and trucks. I have been wanting to find and finally got to try Greek on the street. It was delicious.
Great morning 🌄 with the family. Walked around looking at the vendors. Had a good coffee and donuts. Even bought a bottle of Rye and Vodka from a local distillery.
