I think there should more vendors here. Food, market, for tourists. More seats should be available as well like tables you can eat at. As well as some chess tables or game tables.
Monument Square has definitely brought us so many Happy memories. From Spiderman, to Trex dinosaurs. Our go to for the fabulous Christmas tree. A great place to people watch. Usually a hot dog vendor during the week is at the square. Parking is available, coffee shops are steps away along with restaurants. Benches for relaxing. And a Farmer's market on Wednesdays.
A gorgeous place with a lot of sentimental value for me personally. There have been a few times were there were some interesting characters hanging around, but I never felt threatened or in danger.
Monument Square Park is the center for all of Portland. Portland Library is across the street, and the park is surrounded by a really vast selection of retail shopping stores and coffee shops and cafes. During winter solstice, Monument Square Park is where the Homeless Memorial Vigil is held. DEC 20, 2024 this year.
City vibes but small town feel and all boat load of great meal options for any occasion. Additionally, not far from a few music spots if the dancing vibe hits ya! Merrill Auditorium is attached to City Halland the ticket thing is in reference to that fantastic place! Plays, baskets, orchestration, jazz, rock, you name it! The premiere spot for any and all entertainment!
