Farmers Market
Lewiston, Maine
Lewiston Farmers' Market Association anchors this market, giving it a clearly organized structure that includes full-time vendors, part-time vendors, and regular guest vendors throughout the season. The result is a market where a weekly produce run can also turn up Maine-grown mushrooms, fresh pasta in 15 shapes, goat cheese, maple products, and rotating guest sellers. The vendor roster ties Lewiston directly to nearby farms and makers, with growers from Lewiston, Sabattus, Poland, Greene, and Wilton all represented at market.
Jabril's Family Farm brings produce harvested fresh from the New Roots Cooperative Farm in Lewiston, and Batula's Family Farm sells pesticide-free seasonal produce grown in Lewiston. That local footing runs through the market: Khadija's Family Farm and Seynab's Family Farm both bring fresh local produce, while Jillson's Farm comes in from nearby Sabattus with produce and flowers.
The market's food-access work is also built into how it operates. Maine Harvest Bucks are offered year-round at summer and winter market, and the program is linked with partners including Maine Local Foods Access Network, USDA's Food Insecurity Nutrition Incentive grant, St. Mary's Nutrition Center, and the New American Agriculture Project.
The mix here leans heavily toward practical grocery shopping, with vegetables and berries at the core, then breads, meats, dairy, pantry staples, and a smaller group of body-care and handmade goods. The market also keeps room for vendors who appear nearly every week alongside part-time and guest sellers, so the lineup can shift over the season.
The activities calendar adds free live music and community events during the season, including Mr. Drew & His Animals Too, Bates Dance Festival Workshops, and a weekly Kids Club, along with seasonal events such as Mother's Day programming.
No dogs are allowed, and restrooms are not available on site. Those two details are the clearest visit-planning constraints to know before heading over. The market is at 65 Main St. in Lewiston, while the market's contact page also lists a physical address at 75 Lincoln Street in Lewiston and a phone number of 207-513-3848 for questions tied to the organization.
Vendor attendance can vary by role: full-time vendors are there nearly every week, part-time vendors attend about half the time, and regular guest vendors join one to three times a month. The activities page also notes real-time updates for rotating guest vendors and vendor absences.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at the market, and Maine Harvest Bucks are offered year-round at both the summer and winter market. The market also notes clear payment-method information for shoppers, which helps when you're planning a produce run or pantry restock.
The market offers free live music and community events, including a weekly Kids Club. SNAP/EBT customers receive bonus fruits and vegetables via the Maine Harvest Bucks program.

What a nice farmer's market! I was surprised at the wide variety of items. Coffee, compost buckets, mushrooms, meats, cheeses and, of course, veggies. And Dr. Drew was there! I petted the turtle and touched a snake.
My family and I checked out this market today. Dreamin’ Fahm: Excellent goat cheese! The candied jalapeño in particular is 10/10. Ruby on the Hill: Amazing croutons and friendly staff! Lorelei’s Loaves & Treats: The breads are so flavorful and aromatic! Yum. The Sweet Life Kettle Corn Company: Perfectly sweet and salty popcorn. We got the jumbo bag :-) We will be back! Highly recommend! 😊
Lots of farms there. Musical entertainment. I love it. Beautiful fresh veggies. Cheeses, meats, bread. Use your EBT and get back Harvest Bucks!! Get your frequent shopper cards too. Enjoy!!
The Lewiston Farmers Market is really the best place to shop during a virus crisis. It is so well run, safety and comfort a priority. everything is fresh!! There is a variety of fruits and vegetables, meats and breads, dairy both cow and goat, spices and herbs, yarns and finished products. Go Local, go fresh and go, my darlings, to the Lewiston Farmers Market.
I love our local farmer's market! Great variety of local and organic produce, prices are reasonable, staff and vendors are all really nice and helpful. I previously thought it was a summer only market, but I recently learned that they also hold a winter farmers market at the YWCA, which I am so happy about! I highly recommend that everyone in the L/A area check out the Lewiston Farmer's Market.
